Although many wrote the game off following its disastrous launch back in 2018, Fallout 76 still has a large community in spite of its negative reputation, with many coming back to the game to explore the wasteland with their friends. One of the biggest complaints these players have been echoing in recent months concerns the game's inventory system, with fans claiming it has a number of issues Bethesda Games Studios needs to iron out.

As of today, it seems the developer has begun to work on adding some much-needed fixes to Fallout 76, including upping the stash limit and adding tabs to sort through inventory items. On top of that, the patch will fix some bugs, including texture issues, clipping mishaps, and buggy lighting effects.

The aforementioned inventory changes are at the top of the list, however, with players now able to stash 1,200 pounds of loot. As for the fresh inventory tabs, they'll allow players to easily sort between three new categories: "Armor," "Food/Drink," and "New." Stack weight is now detailed more effectively too, showing the weight of the item individually and then how much the current stack of that item weighs. Other players' vending machines will also be detailed on the map, showing how many 1-, 2-, and 3-star legendary weapons and armor are currently up for grabs before players venture out to attain them.

Additionally, the Atomic Shop also has a new option that allows players to hide items they already own, while build mode has a new feature to help colorblind players. Now, items being placed in the Camp build mode will be highlighted in light blue instead of green. Daily Ops have been slightly altered as well, now rewarding players who complete a challenge efficiently enough to get Elder Tier with a rare reward item. Finally, there's also a new "Spread the Love" event, which nets players a free skin for the pipe wrench and events that unlock Lunchboxes, Perk Card Packs, and Repair Kits.

With the addition of the Wastelanders DLC and, more recently, the Brotherhood of Steel-focused additions, it seems the game is continuing to deliver plenty of new content to those who still play. It'll be interesting to see where it goes in the years to come. Until then, Bethesda Game Studios continues to work on its two highly-anticipated next titles, with Starfield set to launch first and The Elder Scrolls 6 seemingly still a ways away. Until both games release, it seems Fallout 76 will have to keep avid fans of the studio occupied.

Fallout 76 is out now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
