The Ultracite Power Armor is an anti-Scorch protective suit in Fallout 76 made by the Brotherhood of Steel. It’s an endgame, level-50 device with 453 Physical Resistance and 393 Electrical and Radiation Resistance. The primary material used for this Power Armor is Ultracite Ore, which keeps the Scorchbeasts away.

But despite being a popular suit, many Fallout 76 players don’t know how to get it. Unlike most other PAs, finding Ultracite’s plans is not easy, and the chances of getting them at random drops are close to zero. However, using this complete guide, any player can get a free set of Ultracite Power Armor and collect all six plans to craft it at will.

How to Get the Ultracite Power Armor in Fallout 76

A premade set on a chassis is rewarded to players who finish the Brotherhood of Steel quest line. To get the Ultracite Power Armor and its plans, start the Defiance Has Fallen quest at Abbie’s Bunker and beat the Belly of the Beast mission at Fort Defiance.

Only players at Level 50 can craft the Ultracite Power Armor.

Initiate the Defiance Has Fallen Quest

The first step to acquiring the Ultracite Power Armor is starting the Defiance Has Fallen quest. For that, head to Abbie’s Bunker and interact with Abbie’s Terminal. Then head to Camp Venture and grab the Letter to Tommy—the note on the desk. Now go to the Brotherhood headquarter at Fort Defiance and follow the quest marker until the elevator is unlocked. Finally, interact with the Fort’s fourth-floor terminal to get the Belly of the Beast quest.

Beat the Belly of the Beast Mission

Upon getting the Belly of the Beast quest, activate the Pip-Boy and tune into the Brotherhood Emergency Transponder. This will show a location on the map where players must sync five Transponders with the tower. Fix all the antennas and search the mine nearby to find Taggerdy’s corpse. Then grab their IDs and head back to Fort Defiance.

With the IDs, turn on Paladin Taggerdy’s Terminal on the Fort’s fourth floor and choose [Ultracite Power Armor]. This will add a chassis to the inventory with a full set of Ultracite as well as six plans for building the helmet, torso, arms, and legs.

The longest part of the Belly of the Beast mission is getting a military ID. But that aside, an average player can beat this quest and get the Ultracite PA in about an hour.

How to Get Ultracite Modifications

Ultracite has some of the rarest modifications among all Power Armors in Fallout 76. The only way to get them is by farming Scorchbeasts or Scorchbeast Queen. But the chances of them dropping Ultracite mods is never more than 7%, with the rarest ones being Optimized and Overdrive Servos, which have a 0.315% drop rate.

Fallout 76 is available now for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
