When lunchboxes were first introduced to Fallout 76, they caused quite a stir. Pay-to-win items have slowly become a major part of many online video games. However, it's possible to have lots of lunchboxes without spending any real-world money.

The Tesla Rifle in Fallout 76 can become a serious powerhouse of a weapon with the right setup. Here's why it's worth using.

Fallout 76 gives players a couple of ways to earn lunchboxes in-game. One of those ways can actually net the player several free lunchboxes every day. Using lunchboxes allows players to level up faster. Four lunchboxes will grant the player a 100% XP boost for 1 hour. This can be increased further by using other consumables, sleeping, and interacting with certain CAMP items.

Earn Lunchboxes Via The Seasons Tab

Save Up Tickets To Buy Lunchboxes

5 Lunchboxes in Fallout 76

Players can unlock lunchboxes as they progress through the season prize board. While there aren't many lunchbox rewards between rank 1 and 100, once the player reaches rank 150, they unlock repeatable rewards.

While getting to rank 150 can be quite a challenge, once you get there, you'll be able to buy 5 lunchboxes for 75 tickets. This is a repeatable reward, meaning that you can buy lunchboxes over and over again — provided that you have saved up your tickets.

It's not the best way to farm lunchboxes, but for Fallout 1st subscribers and hardcore grinders, it's a nice way to get hold of some extra lunchboxes.

The season scoreboard also gives out Atoms as you progress through the ranks. These Atoms can be used in the Atomic Shop to buy more lunchboxes. Also, keep an eye out for the Atomic Shop, as there are often discounts on lunchboxes that you can take advantage of.

Purchase Lunchboxes From Samuel In Foundation

A Limitless Source Of Lunchboxes

Samuel And His Inventory in Fallout 76

The best way to farm lunchboxes is through Samuel over at Foundation. He sells lunchboxes for 100 Gold Bullion each. His inventory shows that he only has 3 lunchboxes available, but that's not true. To reset his stock, simply leave the trade menu and open it again.

By doing this, you can purchase as many lunchboxes as you like — provided you have the Gold Bullion. While there is a limit on how much Gold Bullion players can earn in a day, you can buy an extra 300 Gold Bullion from Smiley for 6000 Caps over at the Wayward once a week. There are also Gold Rush weekends that allow players to earn twice as much Gold Bullion.

On a regular day, players are able to earn enough Gold Bullion to purchase 4 lunchboxes. This will provide 1 hour of double XP. To save some lunchboxes, try to open them at popular public events, as it may prompt other players to open a lunchbox, too.

Lunchboxes grant an XP boost to all players who are close to the person who opens them.
