In Fallout 76, High Radiation Fluid is a radiated material that works as a flux stabilizer. Players need this resource to create stable cobalt, fluorescent, violet, yellowcake, and crimson flux at the Chemistry Stations. However, this material is not always easy to find.

What makes High Radiation Fluid a scarce item in Fallout 76 is that it can be found only in Blast Zones (aka nuked areas). This guide explains how to create such a zone with nuclear bombs. which will allow players to farm High Radiation Fluid from the glowing enemies.

How to Farm High Radiation Fluid

Fallout 76 Colossal Wendigo and player fighting

To farm High Radiation Fluid, launch a nuke at a crowded area of the map to create a Blast Zone. Then, wear a protective suit — Power Armor or Hazmat — and clear that area. The “Glowing” creatures in this zone will drop High Radiation Fluid as well as Hardened and Glowing Mass.

For a better result, hop in and out of the private server to force-spawn enemies in the Blast Zone and collect even more radiated material. But note that this method won’t work for public servers. In that case, there should be a friend logged in to the nuked server so that the character who launched it can hop in and out without losing progress.

Since the Blast Zones are time-limited, the player has only 3 hours to farm High Radiation Fluid before the enemies go back to their non-glowing form.

Best Location for High Radiation Fluid Farming

In the entire Appalachia, the best spot for farming High Radiation Fluid is West Tek, the research lab near the Kerwood Mine.

To mutate the enemies in this area, the player will need to nuke the mountains near the Top of the World building. Dropping a bomb in this area causes all mutants in the research center to go glowing and drop High Radiation Fluid.

Even better, the player can use the elevator in the West Tek building to force the ghouls to respawn. All they need to do is ride the elevator to another floor, wait for a minute or two, and go back to the previous section to find more nuked enemies.

Best Perks for Farming High Radiation Fluid

Before entering a nuked area, the player is advised to equip the What Rads Legendary Perk. With this perk, they earn an extra 300 Rad Resistance, and their Rads restore at a higher rate — six per second, to be specific. Another perk that helps with radiated material farming is Green Thumb which doubles the amount of gathered Flora.

Fallout 76 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
