Silver is one of the main components for many weapon and armor mods in Fallout 76. Players are going to need tons of it if they plan on tinkering with their gear a lot, especially in the late-game where more mod plans become available.

Much like Lead in Fallout 76, farming for Silver can be made easy if players know what to do and where to go. Here's a quick guide showing a couple of popular Silver farming locations to help you get stocked up.

Fallout 76: Silver Locations

Location of the Whitespring Resort in Fallout 76

You can get Silver by scrapping items or melting down Silver Ore at a Chemistry Station. If you're looking for scrappable junk that yields Silver, then you should search dining areas for plates, forks, bowls, knives, and spoons.

One of the best places to find Silver junk items is Whitesprings Golf Club, which is right next to the resort. This is one of the areas with the highest concentrations of Feral Ghouls in Fallout 76 — ghouls have a high chance of spawning with random junk, including junk that can be converted into Silver. The buildings around the club may also have Silver items lying around, so keep your eyes peeled. Be careful, though, as there's also a good chance that a Wendigo is inside the golf club.

Now, if you're all out of ghouls to hunt, you can proceed into the Whitesprings Mall. Look for the Aura store and speak with Helena. She usually has a number of Silver items on sale.

Where To Find Silver ore

If you would rather mine for Silver Ore instead of random junk, one of the best places you can go to is the Wendigo Cave in the Savage Divide. There are a number of Silver veins all over the cave — to get the most out of each vein, find and bring Fallout 76's Excavator Power Armor. While wearing this suit, you gain a bonus that quadruples the yield of any ore vein you mine.

Wendigo Cave also contains some Feral Ghouls that might drop the Silver you need. The cave also has plenty of Mirelurks inside, including King Mirelurks. There's also a chance of encountering Wendigos here, so bring the best gear you have.

Clearing Wendigo Cave can prove very lucrative, especially if you're looking for Brain Fungus in Fallout 76. The cave has tons of these glowing mushrooms. If you ever need to stock up, pay this POI a visit.
