Even the smallest bit of junk can be turned into something useful in Fallout 76. Weapons, armor, ammo, and even full-blown buildings can be made using the things you find in the wild. However, building things and carrying them are two completely different problems.
Carry weight is a thing that all players need to be wary about, especially if they want to bring the stuff they need to build bases, craft gear, or repair weapons in Fallout 76. Thankfully, getting your character to carry more stuff than usual is very easy to do.

Fallout 76: How To Respec
It's not uncommon for players to make mistakes when building their character in Fallout 76, but luckily, fixing said mistakes is quick and painless.
How to Increase Carry Capacity in Fallout 76
There are a number of ways to increase your maximum carry weight:
- Increase your Strength.
- Use perks.
- Equip a backpack.
- Wear Power Armor.
- Eat food.
Out of all these methods, wearing a backpack in Fallout 76 is the best way to go. There are no drawbacks to wearing backpacks, and you won't need to change your build for them either. You can get the plans for the Standard Small Backpack by looting the Overseer's Cache in Morgantown Airport. Meanwhile, a Standard Backpack is up for grabs when you complete The Order of the Tadpole mission, which you can start by reading Pioneer Scouts posters in train stations.
Carry Capacity Food and Perks
Getting a backpack is great, but if you want even more carrying capacity, you'll want to get specific perks and eat certain food. The Strong Back perk grants +10 carry weight per rank (+40 max). Meanwhile, the rest of the weight-related perks only reduce the weight of certain items. These perks are:

If you're looking for food, anything that gives bonus STR is good. For more specific meals, Grilled Radstag makes for a good staple. Radstags in Fallout 76 aren't terribly rare if you know where to look, and each piece of Grilled Radstag +20 Carry Weight for a decent duration. Other good food for increasing carry weight include:
