Floaters are a mutated, alien-like creature found in Fallout 76 that is not a common find. You'll often notice them hanging around Super Mutants, forming a positive relationship with the massive enemies. There are tons of variations of the Floater, including the Ravenous Floater, the Fierce Floater, the Hideous Floater, and much more.
There are quite a few locations where you can find the Floater enemy more easily, which we will show you in this guide. These areas will make it easier for you to more quickly defeat the enemy and pick up some of the loot that they drop.

Where to Find Floaters in Fallout 76
There are a couple locations where you'll be able to find a lot of Floaters at once. Defeating these enemies can be quite difficult, as they are pretty resilient and have powerful attacks. When you kill them, however, you'll get some good loot like Waste Oil, Fuel, Crystal Shards, Excess Adhesive, and much more. Here's where you can find some Floaters.
Big Maw
The first spot we will be visiting is the Big Maw. You can find this spot on the eastern side of the map in the middle. It'll be northeast of Berkeley Springs, and south of Dolly Sods Wilderness. Make your way into the forest area, and you should be able to find at least 6 Floaters around here. There will be some Hideous Floaters, Bloodthristy Floaters, Floater Freezers, and more.
Lake Eloise
For this next location, we will be heading to Lake Eloise. This can be found in the southeastern section of the map, just south of Spruce Knob Campground, and east of Vault 96. When you arrive at the lake, you should be able to find around 6 Floaters surrounding the water, and a small campground. There will be a multitude of Floater variations here as well, including Floater Gnashers.
Solomon's Pond
For the last spot, we will make a visit to Solomon's Pond. This location is a great one to visit since it is directly east of The Whitespring Resort, which you can fast travel to without spending any Caps. You'll find it just north of Twin Lakes as well. You'll find the floaters near a small home with a pond in the back.
