7 A Map Expansion

Head South For New Adventures

The Skyline Valley update will open up a new region of the existing map. This region is currently on the public test server, and players have had their first taste of what this area has to offer.

This new area has a unique weather type. It is a reddish, other-worldly weather type with a lightning effect that really gives the whole region a new-age apocalyptic feel. Once released, players will be able to explore this new region at their leisure, as it won't be a part of expeditions.

6 The Story Behind Vault 63

A New Vault To Explore

Vault 63 in Fallout 76

Very little is known about Vault 63; that is, until now. This previously sealed Vault will be open for exploration when this update is released. That said, exploring Vault 63 won't be a walk in the park.

Without giving away any spoilers, Vault 63 isn't empty. There is a rich questline that goes alongside this Vault that players on the Public Test Server seem to be really enjoying.

Fallout: 9 Worst Vaults To Be Trapped In

Vault-Tec created some truly despicable vaults in the Fallout series, and these would be the worst ones to get trapped in.

It is going to be one of the largest Vaults that the Fallout franchise has ever created. It is such a large Vault that it once had its own built-in metro system for dwellers to get from place to place.

5 New Enemies

New Enemy Types Have Made Their Way Into The Game

Level 50 Ghoul in Fallout 76

There are a few new enemy types that will be brought in with the next Fallout 76 update. The update even includes new bosses called Storm Goliaths. These new bosses are completely unique in the Fallout franchise, and players will need to stock up on ammo before attempting to take them down. Just like the Scorchbeast Queen, Ultracite Titan, and Earl, these new bosses won't go down easily.

There is also a new cultist-type faction called The Lost that will play an important part in some of the quests available in this new region.

4 New Main Questline

Without giving away any spoilers, the new main questline coming with the Skyline Valley update has a very captivating story. Unlike most of the decisions players make in Fallout 76, there are a couple of decisions that players can make in this quest that will actually have some consequences.

This is something that players have been wanting for a long time. Throughout other Fallout titles, player decisions have the ability to take the whole game in a different direction. While the decisions players will be able to make in this new update won't have as much power as they did in Fallout 4, they do still make a difference to the player's overall gameplay experience.

3 New Rewards

Some Fun And Unique Rewards For Players To Earn

Like with most updates to Fallout 76, there are going to be lots of new rewards that players can unlock. The ones that have really got players talking are the new weapons. Players can unlock a total of four new weapons by playing the new main questline. They are the V63 Shock Baton, Shattered Grounds, V63 Zweihander, and Ticket To Revenge. These new weapons have the potential to shake up the game with their effects and abilities.

Fallout 76 has a huge weapons armory for players to use, and while the meta weapons are established, others have undeservedly flown under the radar.

Specifically, the Ticket To Revenge looks like it could rival the Railway Rifle in power, ammo capacity, and overall aesthetic. It's not just new weapons that players can expect to come across while playing the Skyline Valley update. Players will also get lots of CAMP plans, weapon skins, and more.

2 New Events

A Couple Of New Events For Players To Take Part In

There are going to be two new large events that players will be able to participate in. They are "Dangerous Pastimes" and "Neurological Warfare." Without giving away any spoilers, both of these events will be public events that will require players to work as a team in order to complete them.

"Dangerous Pastimes" is a straightforward event, provided there are enough players to help out. Players will need to take out waves of new enemies while trying to collect special parts to draw in a storm. "Neurological Warfare" is the more interesting event, as it can be started in the same way as other endgame boss battle events. Players will need to nuke a certain region to start it.

Players always enjoy seeing new events come to the game. New events usually mean new rewards, and new rewards give veteran players something to grind for.

1 Enemy Damage Adjustments

Some Much-Needed Fixes For Certain Enemies

Gulpers in Fallout 76

There are some enemies in the game that seem to be unusually powerful. Enemies like Anglers, Robots, and Cave Crickets can take out players with a couple of hits. Bethesda is going to be implementing some changes to help rebalance some of these overpowered enemies.

There will also be some minor changes made to existing weapons. While a full list of weapon changes is yet to be released, they are all being done in an attempt to help balance the game so that more weapons are viable for end-game content.
