Since its addition to Xbox Game Pass, more Bethesda Softworks fans have been exploring the nuclear wasteland of Fallout 4, and others are discovering unique details about the game on fresh playthroughs. One Fallout 4 fan has experienced a strange issue with Deathclaws after they suddenly launch a Legendary one into the sky during an intense battle.

Reddit user AdrianValistar recently posted a clip of their Fallout 4Boston Commonwealth exploration in which they encounter a Legendary Deathclaw between some ruined buildings. Engaging the powerful enemy with VATS on multiple instances, AdrianValistar pauses the combat in order to take more calculated shots at the Deathclaw. Typically displayed in bright green, the colorblind activated VATS highlights the Legendary Deathclaw with shades of purple as the Fallout 4 player specifically targets the head of the imposing beast.

AdrianValistar's Fallout 4 clip has some notable frame rate dips as the player repeatedly activates VATS with the Legendary Deathclaw to survive its onslaught. The clip begins with the Legendary Deathclaw approaching the Fallout 4 player, and for a brief moment, a miniature Deathclaw flashes on the screen near the foot of the large target immediately when VATS is activated. AdrianValistar slashes at the Legendary Deathclaw's head multiple times on their first VATS attempt as Dogmeat circles around the enemy, and the player is stomped on and knocked back upon the conclusion of their attacks.

After being thrown backward, AdrianValistar tries to target the Legendary Deathclaw with VATS again, but the player lacks the required Action Points, which inspires them to take a couple of standard swipes at the creature as the AP recharges. The Deathclaw continues its attack on the Fallout 4 player before and after another round of VATS, charging at and grabbing the player before throwing them and causing limb damage from the impact. With one more hit, the Fallout 4 player launches the Legendary Deathclaw, which is at about one-third health, into the sky, and it bounces upon landing back on the ground dead.

AdrianValistar is equipped with Kremvh's Tooth in their Fallout 4 video, which is found towards the end of the Dunwich Borers dungeon. This unique Fallout 4 sword does 28 base damage and inflicts additional poison damage over time which makes it one of the game's most popular melee weapons. Some other swords in Fallout 4's arsenal include the Revolutionary Sword, Chinese Officer Sword, Shem Drowne Sword, and the Shishkebab which each offer their own weapon stats that may interest other Fallout 4 fans more than Kremvh's Tooth. It's currently unclear what caused this Deathclaw to become airborne, but it may be associated with the animations caused by VATS.

Fallout 4 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
