A trailer for a Fallout 4 mod that's in development called Fallout: Miami has just been released, giving a brief tease into what players can expect from the project. Given that the base experience has one of Bethesda's best step-out moments, the 2015 post-apocalyptic release is a highly praised entry in the long-running series, with the vanilla game containing a lot to explore and do. However, that doesn't deter the modding community, which has been putting out its own content to really expand the universe.

The Fallout series recently celebrated turning 25 years old, with the developer offering up a free copy of Fallout 76 for a limited time. The franchise began life in 1997 as an isometric RPG focused on strong storytelling and turn-based combat. For the third installment in 2008, Bethesda took the helm and turned the series into a first-person experience. While it's a significant departure from the previous two entries, it's no secret that the games have become hugely popular in mainstream gaming since the Skyrim developer took over.

This trailer for Fallout: Miami, which in a way is being made to celebrate the franchise's 25th anniversary, gives some insight into what the mod will feature, with the video showing off some of the locales and of course a number of exterior shots featuring palm trees. The inbound Fallout 4 custom content will contain its own main quest, additional side missions, as well as new characters and companions. At the moment, there is no full release for the mod, but Episode 1 is currently available, and the team is on the lookout for anyone to join who feels they can help with the project's development.

Fallout 4 has so many mods already out, many of which can alter the way the game looks and feels. Such examples go as far as improving companion AI, altering the stealth system to make it more realistic, or even just making nights darker. Anyone who's played the game, especially on PC, knows what the modding community can bring to the table.

The upcoming Fallout: Miami project is not the only DLC-sized add-on that's currently being worked on, either. Take the demo for the Fallout London mod, for example, which dropped not long ago. As the title suggests, this particular story will take place in the English capital city, featuring new factions, weapons, and a lot more for fans to discover. While there are certainly plenty of mods out there that aim to improve the game overall, such as through visual improvements or bug fixes, there are also teams of people who want to really go wild when it comes to Fallout 4 customization.

Fallout 4 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
