Even though Fallout 4 is a treasure trove of unusual weapons, not every gun can be on par with Fat Man. Being a hand variation of the miniature nuclear launcher, this weapon will show you what real fireworks are like and make you fall in love with big explosions in the game. With just one projectile (or more with MIRV modification), this weapon will allow you to fire a mini-nuclear bullet to create giant explosions and deal tons of damage in a decent area, which looks quite impressive.
The good news is that Fat Man is relatively easy to get, as it can be found in many places. But to simplify the task, we will tell you about the most quickly accessible locations.
Where To Find the Fat Man in Fallout 4
Since the Fat Man is a simple variation of its weapon type and is less powerful than the Nuka-Nuke Launcher or Big Boy, it is found relatively frequently in several locations. But don't take its inferior status as a weakness, because this weapon still has incredible explosive power and can kill almost anyone. Of course, you will have to practice to learn how to shoot with it since the parabolic trajectory of the projectile is not that intuitive, but first, you should find at least one such gun.
It is worth noting that you will not be able to buy Fat Man from Fallout 4 merchants, so the only way to get this weapon is to find it or take it from the previous owner. So here are some of the simplest locations:
- In the corner near Edward's bed in the Cabot House building. You can get into this building, talk to Edward Deagan in Diamond City, and start the Special Delivery quest. It is also the starting point for the Cabot House quest line, which will soon lead you to the building with the desired weapon.

- Head to the Boston mayoral shelter and find a relatively prominent basketball court. Find the entrance to the cave below this area and pick up the weapon near the soldier's corpse at the end of the cave.

A seemingly random event in Fallout 4 gives players the opportunity to find a crashed alien spaceship and then acquire the Alien Blaster Pistol weapon.
These are just some of the easiest locations where you can find Fat Man. In truth, there are about 25 of these guns on the game map, so with a high degree of probability, you can find several simply by following the plot and exploring the game world.
