  • 37% of players are missing Fallout 4's easiest achievement, "War Never Changes."
  • Fallout 4 is easily accessible on Xbox Game Pass and PS Plus Extra.
  • Fallout 5 is in the works after The Elder Scrolls 6.

About 37% of those that have played Bethesda's Fallout 4 are missing the incredibly easy achievement "War Never Changes," which is awarded for stepping out into the game's open world wasteland for the first time. Fallout 4 was first released in 2015, and while there were some controversies over things like the fully-voiced main character, the game still earned a great deal of acclaim and is still played by many gamers to this day.

Fallout 4 is available on both Xbox Game Pass and PS Plus Extra, making it easier to play than ever before. Of course, those that aren't signed up for PS Plus Extra or Xbox Game Pass can purchase the game outright if they'd rather, and that's not a big hurdle to overcome either. Fallout 4 sells for $19.99, and it is regularly discounted as well, so anyone interested in the game should have little problem jumping in, regardless of their platform of choice.

20 Hidden Locations In Fallout 4 You Didn’t Know Existed

In typical Bethesda fashion, Fallout 4 is hiding quite a few unique secrets, and you probably won't discover these 10 right away.

It seems that there are many gamers who have booted up Fallout 4 through a subscription to try it briefly, or otherwise had their gamertag logged in while someone else was playing it, as a surprising percentage of gamers on Xbox are missing its easiest achievement. This was pointed out by Reddit user DinosaurMan509, who noted only 62.55% of gamers have the "War Never Changes" achievement, earned when players enter the Commonwealth wasteland for the first time. It's basically the achievement players get when they wrap up the beginning tutorials and cutscenes.

There are many explanations as to why roughly 37% of Fallout 4 gamers are missing the game's easiest achievement. Besides the previously mentioned possibilities, it could also be that there are some gamers who have only played Fallout 4 with mods on Xbox. Mods disable achievements, and so that could also account for some of the individuals that have apparently played the game but somehow missed out on getting its easiest achievement.

It will be interesting to see if something similar happens with the eventual Fallout 5. Bethesda's Todd Howard has already confirmed that the plan is to work on Fallout 5 after development wraps on The Elder Scrolls 6. It will be many years before Fallout 5 sees the light of day, but once it does eventually release to the masses, one has to wonder if it will once again have players starting out in a vault and earning an achievement for leaving it.
