During its E3 Press conference, Bethesda Game Studios announces three additional downloadable content packs coming to Fallout 4 throughout the summer.

Fallout 4 may not have been a massive surprise when Bethesda revealed it a year ago during its first ever E3 press conference. After launching a mere few months later, fans found Fallout 4 filled to the brim with things to do, and it eventually expanded even further thanks to additional add-ons like Far Harbor. Players hoping for even more stuff to do in the Wasteland got their wish as Bethesda revealed a trio of new content coming very soon.

In a video during the Bethesda E3 press conference, Bethesda Game Studios director and executive producer Todd Howard thanked fans for their support, and revealed that the team wasn't finished with Fallout 4. In fact, his team has been plugging away on even more content. For fans of settlement building, the Contraptions content adds new construction tools and objects including ball tracks, elevators, object racks, and conveyor belts. Players can get tinkering with the Contraptions DLC starting next week.

In an interesting twist, the Vault-Tec DLC lets players essentially build their own Fallout Shelter within the world of Fallout 4. The player becomes a vault overseer, building their own vault and setting up experiments for their vault dwellers. As the player builds out the vault space, the familiar grid look and feel of Fallout Shelter will begin to take shape. Players will be able to flex their overseer muscles starting in July.

The last piece of content announced, Nuka World, was the most ambiguous. The trailer revealed a quick clip of what appears to be a post card showing off a Nuka Cola themed amusement park with the date August 2016 on it. Speculation has begun that this content pack will be new story based content, considering that the first two packs are more focused on settlement building. Thankfully, gamers don't have to wait too long to find out for sure.

While Far Harbor added the biggest landmass Bethesda Game Studios has created for any game, the studio also managed to add the ability to create and share mods on the Xbox one version of Fallout 4, bringing it in line with the PC version. The modding has already been incredibly popular, even forcing Microsoft to try and increase the mod limit on the Xbox One. Modding is coming to the PlayStation 4 version as well in the coming weeks.
