Fall Guys and Sonic the Hedgehog are collaborating with each other to bring even more skins to the party battle royale game. Previously, skins based on the titular character himself, along with Knuckles the Echidna, were added into Fall Guys, but players will now be able to dress up as even more characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise.
One of the reasons why players keep coming back to Fall Guys is for the collaborations it has with other video games. There are now a lot of Fall Guys skins based on popular video game characters that players can earn, and five Sonic the Hedgehog inspired skins will be coming to the game very soon.
Fall Guys posted an image of the skins on its Twitter account, which include Sonic the Hedgehog, Knuckles the Echidna, Tails, Dr. Eggman, and Super Sonic. The image shows Sonic the Hedgehog running on a course inspired by the iconic Green Hill Zone, which is the first course fans play on in many Sonic the Hedgehog games. Tails, Knuckles, and Eggman follow Sonic the Hedgehog while Super Sonic flies above the other characters.
A lot of Sonic the Hedgehog fans expressed their excitement in the replies of the Twitter post, stating that they cannot wait to get the skins, especially the new ones as some have already gotten Sonic and Knuckles when they first released. Some Twitter users also mentioned wanting other Sonic the Hedgehog characters, such as Shadow the Hedgehog and Amy Rose to become skins in Fall Guys in the future.
These skins will be available during a Sonic the Hedgehog event in Fall Guys, known as Sonic's Adventure. Besides obtaining these skins, players will be able to participate in a Sonic show made for the event and play a brand new round. The event will begin on August 11th and end on the 15th.
2022 is shaping up to be a great year for Sonic the Hedgehog fans. The highly anticipated film sequel, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, released in the beginning of April, and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 was announced to come out at the end of 2024. A compilation of retro games, known as Sonic Origins, came out at the end of June. And an upcoming open-world installment, Sonic Frontiers, is expected to release later this year. As Sonic the Hedgehog makes its comeback, this collaboration with Fall Guys shows that Sonic will not slow down any time soon.
