The third season of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout was officially unveiled with a winter wonderland trailer, complete with a release date for all of the brand new snowy stages and skins.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout came in hot this summer as a competitive battle royale game that was also family-friendly and extremely silly. It did so well upon launch that its servers crashed numerous times within the first few days, as the developers were overwhelmed by the sheer unexpected popularity of their newest game. Fall Guys sold over 11 million copies on the PC alone. It followed up on its successful first season with a medieval-themed second season, releasing new stages and skins to match.

The Fall Guys Twitter account has been busy teasing the upcoming third season recently, appropriately with a winter theme for the holiday season. And after asking the community once again what the developers should name one of the massive new obstacles—this time, a giant holiday bell that is now known as Ringus Dingus—Fall Guys finally unveiled a full trailer for Season 3 at tonight's Game Awards event.

As previously shown, Season 3 of Fall Guys will come with wintery skins such as a penguin costume, a snowman skin, and a red-nosed reindeer outfit for the jellybean-shaped guys. Penguins will also make an appearance as part of the game strategies themselves. Similar to the tail-grabbing minigame Tail Tag, it looks like players will be tasked with trying to grab an adorable penguin—now officially dubbed Bert the Penguin—before the time runs out. Or they could be used more like eggs in Egg Scramble.

From the new season, players can likely expect levels to implement the classic slippery ice gaming element as part of the winter theme, and based on the trailer, possibly even stages featuring snowballs or snowball fights as the tasks.

Speaking of the community and The Game Awards, Fall Guys won an award for Best Community Support, an award geared towards recognizing a team for its responsiveness, transparency, and outreach to its players. This isn't a surprising win for Mediatonic because the team behind the Fall Guys Twitter account keeps its users engaged with lighthearted hilarity and even asks them to name obstacles in upcoming Fall Guys stages.

The third season of Fall Guys will begin on December 15th, with Season 2 having ended just a few days ago. And Mediatonic has announced that "Season 3 will have more levels than Season 2" as part of the studio's "huge plans."

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is available now for PC and PlayStation 4.
