To say that Fall Guys is popular would be a massive understatement. Devolver Digital's adorable battle royale based on an amalgamation of an obstacle course game show and Mario Party mini-games has seen widespread appeal, not only on PlayStation 4, but on Steam as well. Because of this popularity, many players have shared clips of their triumphant victories and heartbreaking losses on Twitter, including one player who was hit with a series of unfortunate events right at the finish line of Dizzy Heights.

It's not hard to see the appeal of Fall Guys. Many players have tired of the typical gameplay and tropes found in most battle royale games, so the game's obstacle course gameplay feels like a breath of fresh air in the genre. That gameplay comes wrapped in a cute jellybean aesthetic that lends itself well to possible future collaborations with other games like Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher.

Fall Guys' charm has attracted all types of players, including Twitter user @UnninSMILE, who shared a video displaying one of their heartbreaking losses. With a caption stating, "I swear I am the unluckiest player..." the video shows the player getting smacked with a series of balls as they attempt to stand right at the finish line of Dizzy Heights.

However, upon closer inspection, there is more at play in this short clip. Right before the player begins to be bombarded with the course's boulder-like balls, they decide to turn around at the finish line and taunt the other competitors with the 'finger guns' emote. Many Twitter users have called out this behavior out as trolling and they got what they deserved.

While many are enjoying their time with Fall Guys, others have had a less than stellar time. Since the game's launch, it has seen a massive influx of players that developer Mediatonic was not anticipating. As a result, the game has suffered from major server issues, a fact of which Fall Guys players have begun roasting.

If Mediatonic and Devolver Digital can get these server issues under control, Fall Guys has the potential to be the number one battle royale game on the block. While the game can require some level of skill, it doesn't seem like Fall Guys doesn't really care about being a massively competitive game. The developers seem to be putting a greater emphasis on fun gameplay and hilarious moments and hope that the levels of trolling and bad manners remain at a minimum.

Fall Guys is available now on PC and PS4.
