Mediatonic is collaborating with The Coalition to bring Gears of War skins to free-to-play party game Fall Guys. An increasing number of collaborators have worked with Mediatonic to bring their characters to Fall Guys. Gears of War fans hoping to pick up a skin will want to hurry because availability is only open for a limited amount of time.Fall Guys is well known for its diverse range of collaborations by now. When the party game relaunched as free-to-play, for example, it did so alongside an Assassin's Creed collaboration. There was a special game mode, limited-time rewards, and premium content, too. Since then, Fall Guys has had a variety of collaborations including Street Fighter, SpongeBob SquarePants, Doctor Who, Star Trek, Destiny 2, Godzilla, and more. Gears of War is just the latest partner in Fall Guys' streak of great partnerships.Three skins are being offered as part of the Fall Guys collaboration with Gears of War. Marcus Fenix is included, naturally, taken from the original Gears of War rather than any of its sequel. Gears 5 protagonist Kait Diaz is also featured. The third skin goes to one of Gears of War's most popular villains, General RAAM. There are certainly other villains that could have been chosen, but General RAAM does represent the Swarm better than most.
The three skins will be available to purchase in Fall Guys for a limited time. They're currently in Fall Guys' shop, but will be removed on December 13. Collaboration skins typically do come back to the shop in time, but it could be a while. Gears of War fans who want the new skins should make sure to make their purchase this weekend lest they forget and miss the opportunity.
Some mindful The Game Awards 2022 viewers may have already been rewarded for their time. The Kait Diaz Fall Guys skin was given out to The Game Awards viewers on Twitch for those who watched the event live. Sadly, there's no way to earn the skin for free anymore.
All in all, the skins in Fall Guys are purely cosmetic and most of the party game's players likely already have a wardrobe full of fun skins. For Gears of War players, this is a fun opportunity to celebrate the franchise, especially as everyone waits for news regarding what's next for the Gears of War franchise.
