Fae Farm is a bright, magical farming simulator where players can establish themselves in the world of Azoria. Farming and raising animals at the Homestead is a large part of the game, but there's also an active world to explore full of wildlife known as Critters.

The rarest critters in Fae Farm can't be captured if players don't have a high critter catching level. This guide will help level it up quickly.

Players can catch most Critters (except for Fish, which require the Fishing Rod) with their Critter Net, given to them by the beekeeper, Mel. Each area of Azoria has its own types of Critters that range from common species to rare ones hardly ever seen. Rare Critters can be sold for more or provide more products, so here's a complete list of the rarest Critters in Fae Farm.

7 Queen Bee

Honey Harvesting Queen Found Year Round in Azoria

Fae Farm

A Queen Bee is most likely the easiest to find regarding rare Critters. Queen Bees appear year-round in most areas of Azoria, including the Fae Realm. Queen Bees are essential if players want to harvest honey on their farms.

Queen Bees are larger than Worker Bees and will have a shimmering effect around them. They appear almost anywhere, but a few common spawn points are near the Homestead, east of the market, and close to the Spooky Woods. Players can use them to build Honey Hives.

6 Rainbow Frog

Bouncy Critter Found Anywhere in the Lowlands

Fae Farm

The Rainbow Frog is a rare Critter that appears in the Lowlands. Players will recognize it by its bright pink color and shimmering effect. As with other frogs, catching one requires a fast reaction time. Once players have startled a Rainbow Frog, they will only have a short time to catch it before it disappears.

Players may also need an upgraded net to catch a Rainbow Frog. They will need to take several swings unless they get lucky to ensure they catch it. Then, they can place one in a Lowlands Critter Conservatory to harvest Frog Sweat for potions.

5 Eel

Snake-like Seafood Only Found Off Shore in Sunny Weather

Fae Farm

Unlike bugs and other Critters, Fish can only be caught using a Fishing Rod purchased from Eddy. Some fish, in particular, can only be caught in specific areas, at specific times, in specific weather. Eels are considered Deep Sea Fish and are some of the rarest creatures in Fae Farm. Eels can be used to make expensive trade items.

Players can only catch Eel once they've cleared the Whirlpools and have the Bash spell. Then, they must swim to a small island south of Eddy's place to find Eel. Players will also need the highest-level Fishing Rod to catch them. Eels appear during Sunny weather, so players must come back a different day if it's Cloudy or Rain.

4 Slab Crab

Elusive Stone Crabs Only Found in the Mountains

Fae Farm

Slab Crabs are water-dwelling Critters. They appear during any weather in the Mountains but only once every few days. They mainly appear along the water close to the waypoint, but there's a slight chance they will spawn near the water spring in the Frozen Plateau. Physically, Slab Crabs are made of stone and have the same shimmering effect other rare Critters do.

Players can catch them with their Net, but it may require getting an upgrade since they are elusive. However, unlike Frogs, players can catch one once it is in their sights and won't disappear. Slab crabs only appear near water.

3 Luster Bloblin

Shiny, Hopping Fae Critter that Could Appear All Day Long

Fae Farm

Luster Bloblins are Fae Critters that only appear inside the Fae Realm. The Fae Realm is north of the mainland and is home to magical creatures and villagers alike. Despite being an entirely new species, Luster Bloblins share similarities to the frogs outside the Fae Realm.

They are small slime-like creatures that are a bright orange color. Players can catch them using any level of Net, but they are quick to run away when spotted. After catching one, players can sell it at the market or place it inside a Conservatory to harvest Blob Globs for potions.

2 Rose Buddy

Fast-Moving Critter That Appears In Any Weather, But Only At Night

Fae Farm

A Rose Buddy is another Fae Critter similar to Bugs with a magical twist. They appear in any weather around the Fae Realm, but only at night. Once targeted, they may run away if players don't move quickly enough.

Rose Buddies are small crab-like Fae Critters that are pink with a shimmering effect. Having an advanced Net makes catching them significantly easier, and then players can put them in a Conservatory to collect Nectar for potions.

1 Lava Sprite

Rarely Seen Orbs of Lava that Live in the Mountains

Fae Farm

Lava Sprites are rare Critters that only appear near the volcanic mountain at the top of the map. The Mountains are a cold region, aside from a small corner where the volcano is. Players must ensure they have gotten rid of the blizzard taking over the area or have warming potions on hand to hunt for them.

Lava Sprites are small floating red Critters that look similar to the ones in the Fae Realm. They also have some of the same characteristics as Butterflies and Moths. Players can harvest Cinders from Lava Sprites when they place them inside a Conservatory.
