Campbell played Ash Williams in the original movie franchise, and he narrates the events of the gameplay trailer, as he did in a previous trailer that showed asymmetric combat of Evil Dead: The Game. Meanwhile, the new gameplay trailer talks about an interesting aspect of the game where we can play with a new character, the Kandarian Demon. The trailer revealed brand-new unseen footage of the Kandarian Demon and displayed his several abilities.

In the first instance, the trailer shows the character levitating an attacker while absorbing some kind of energy from it. Bruce Campbell exclaims "Woah" as this happens. Campbell goes on to describe a particular "Infernal Energy" that will supposedly increase the player's power of possession. Players can use this power of possession to puppet and command other characters like Deadites and haunt different objects in Evil Dead: The Game. This power of possession will also help players set up vicious traps against their opponents. The minute-long trailer also reveals some more exciting footage containing jaw-dropping combat, mysterious characters, and unique abilities.

It was previously revealed that players would be able to battle it out against one another in multiplayer mode, either as the heroes or the demons. With his impressive abilities, this new Kandarian Demon character could sway many gamers to the demons' side, who would've otherwise chosen to play with a hero character.

Whether or not characters like the Kandarian Demon and the game's asymmetric combat will amaze horror game fans is yet to be seen. Nonetheless, with Evil Dead: The Game was already delayed, Saber Interactive must be looking forward to calming angry fans by any means possible.

Evil Dead: The Game releases May 13 on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
