After the Golden Frieza arc, the Destroyer Gods of Universe 6 and 7 decided to host a tournament to decide which universe had the strongest warriors. This arc had excellent fights of its own... but the highlight was undoubtedly the clash between Goku and Hit.

7 Future Bulma Dying At The Hands Of Goku Black
The Future Trunks arc in Dragon Ball Super was one of the darkest storylines in the anime. The cruel manner in which Future Bulma was killed by Goku Black hammered at this point from the very start of this arc.
Both Future Zamasu and Goku Black were extremely powerful and sadistic threats who would've eradicated the entire human race had Goku and Vegeta not intervened. Even then, the damage had already been done to Future Trunks' timeline.
6 Future Trunks Gaining A New Form
After being pushed into a corner over and over again by Future Zamasu and Goku Black, Trunks decided that enough was enough. He let his anger fuel his power and unlocked a new Super Saiyan form that would help him fight on equal ground with Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta.
This form was Super Saiyan Rage and was an absolute joy to behold. After all, Future Trunks is a fan-favorite character and any change that benefits his character is welcomed by everyone.

After Future Zamasu and Goku Black fused to fight back against the combined might of a powered-up Goku and Vegeta, the Saiyans realized that they needed to up the ante too. This resulted in the use of the Potara Earrings and the much-awaited return of the beloved Vegito!
Watching Vegito in another fight after his tussle against Super Buu was a great moment for fans. This transformation might not have lasted for long, but the manner in which he completely dominated Fused Zamasu was endlessly entertaining to watch regardless.
4 Zeno Making His Debut
Dragon Ball Super might've introduced numerous Destroyer Gods and Angels from different universes, but none of these characters are even close to reaching the power level of Zeno. After all, this being is none other than the supreme ruler of the entire Multiverse!
Appearances can be extremely deceiving, and this applies to Zeno as well. The fact that he can erase an entire universe out of existence should be proof enough of just how powerful this character really is.
3 The Pride Troopers And Universe 6's Saiyans Becoming Major Threats In The Universal Tournament
The Universal Tournament arc is easily one of the best arcs in Dragon Ball Super. The fact that a losing universe would be eradicated from existence set the stage for one of the most intense tournaments in Dragon Ball history.
During this tournament, there were two groups that ended up being massive threats — the Pride Troopers from Universe 11 and the Saiyans from Universe 6. Both these Universes had standout fighters of their own and posed a massive threat to the survival of Universe 7.

In this high-stakes tournament, both Goku and Vegeta realized that they needed to break their limits in order to stand against the might of imposing fighters like the fused Kefla, Top, and Jiren. They managed to do so in truly astounding fashion.
Vegeta reached the Super Saiyan Blue Evolved state that helped him shatter his limits and fight against Top on equal footing. Meanwhile, Goku unlocked the power of Ultra Instinct and delivered a beatdown the likes of which Jiren had never experienced before.
1 Universe 7 Emerging As The Victors Of The Universal Tournament
After losing the power of Ultra Instinct, Goku realized that he needed the power of teamwork to defeat Jiren once and for all. After all, the fate of the entire universe hinged on this final confrontation!
After teaming up with Frieza and Android 17, the trio finally managed to knock Jiren out of the tournament once and for all. Android 17 was the sole survivor of the carnage, which led to Universe 7 winning this tournament.
