Actor Ethan Hawke, who is portraying the mysterious new villain in Moon Knight, has recently revealed why he is so excited for audiences to finally see the show, although it looks like one special episode comes to his mind in particular. Moon Knight is the latest MCU series to be released and available for streaming through Disney Plus.

The Marvel Studios show mostly follows main character Marc Spector, who will be portrayed by Oscar Isaac, marking his official initiation into the MCU. Moon Knight is set to deeply explore the realms of mental health issues in tandem with superhero strength, which creates an epic anti-hero effect. Spector happens to live with dissociative identity disorder, meaning he finds himself alternating and shifting between multiple different personalities that exist within him. One of his most infamous alters is Steven Grant, a museum gift-shop attendant. On the contrary, Hawke plays the evil cult leader Arthur Harrow, who worships the sinister ancient Egyptian god Ammit. Harrow eventually ends up trying to persuade Spector to surrender to his innermost darkness.

Moon Knight has been projected to display a different, darker type of superhero than Marvel Studios has ever explored before. However, Hawke too is having his own level of anticipation and excitement for fans to finally see exactly the type of villain Arthur Harrow is. In a recent interview with Screen Rant, Hawke revealed which exact episode he is most looking forward to fans seeing. He shared, “Well, I guess, I’d have to say episode six - because if they see six, that means they saw the whole thing. That’s what I want to give people, the whole thing."

Hawke continued his statement by pointing out the benefits and risks of telling the Moon Knight story over the course of a limited series instead of a single film. "That’s the thing about a limited series - what’s fun about it is that it’s a huge canvas. What’s hard about it is you want, I want people to see the whole thing," he said. "Even like at a premiere tonight, well, they’re just seeing the first two episodes. I want them to see the whole Magilla.”

Hawke's comments stressing the importance of audiences making sure they are watching a limited series all the way throughout its duration like a proper film might hint towards the overall trajectory of the plot for Moon Knight. For example, the series may be much slower in pace to develop, equating to the audience’s patience being very much so required. On the other hand, Hawke could also be alluding to how proud he is of the overall cohesiveness that the series was somehow able to achieve with each character in Moon Knight - despite only having six episodes to do so.

Moon Knight will be available for streaming through Disney Plus on March 30th, 2022.
