In The Elder Scrolls Online, players have the option to marry one another. Gamers will receive a ten percent XP boost if they play with their spouse in ESO. However, the wedding ring must be worn to receive the boost. In ESO, the couple that adventures together, stays together.

In order to get married, gamers need the Imperial Edition of the game. For those that did not buy that version, players can purchase a digital upgrade to unlock the feature. Join the community this week to receive a ton of features for free. Simply visit ESO at the store on any platform and look for the Imperial Digital Upgrade. Once the upgrade is installed, follow the simple tips below to get hitched.

How To Get Married

ESO port city Hammerfell

The location that players will need to travel to in order to get married will depend on which faction they choose. Regardless, all of the ceremonies take place at the Shrine of Mara. Gamers can look on their map and hover over the shine symbols to find a Shrine of Mara, which is located in every major city.

Players will also need to have the Pledge of Mara. This item will be in the bank for those that have the Collectors or Imperial Edition of the game. Pick up the item and attach it to a quickslot. Then, head down to the Shrine to form a lifelong bond.

There is no divorce in ESO, so users will need to make sure they are committed. In other words, choose a partner that plans on playing at similar times to maximize the benefit of the boost. Ten percent may not seem like a huge benefit, but it will make quite an impact while leveling, so use it as often as possible.

Once at the shrine, make sure both characters have the item equipped in the quickslot. The Altar of Mara at the shrine will state:

"At this altar to the Goddess of Love you can use a Ring of Mara to espouse your beloved."

No pastor will be present at the wedding, but apparently there's no need for one in Tamriel. Once both partners have inspected the altar, they may wed. Hold the interact button to begin the ceremony.

A message will pop up and gamers will want to agree to the commitment to complete the process. From then on, as long as the two players are online and have the ring equipped, the XP boost will remain active. There is no downside to getting married in ESO, because users can just take off the ring if their spouse is offline. With that, players can get married in ESO. Stay faithful and reap the rewards.
