Epic Seven is a mobile game that is primarily a turn-based game, while also belonging to the JRPG genre (the Japanese Role Playing Game genre) and having gacha elements tied to it as well. This is primarily in how players acquire powerful units to fight against waves of enemies.

Of course, there are bound to be units that are better than others, and this is no different for any of the classes of units. There are multiple units that belong to the Ranger classification, and it would do a player good to know who the best of the best are.

6 Furious (4-Star Ice Ranger)

Epic 7 - Ras

Although Furious is only good for one certain area of the game, he really shines there; as in, almost every team made for this part of the game includes him. Additionally, this "certain area of the game" is the most important dungeon for a player to run through, the Wyvern dungeon.

Furious has been touted as one of the most important supporters and debuffers for the Wyvern dungeon, due to the fact that he can constantly raise everyone's Critical Hit rtae, along with keeping the boss debuffed with a 2-turn Defense Break with a near constant uptime. Due to being a Ranger, players can put him on Song of Stars for an extra debuff that increases the boss's damage it takes.

5 Iseria (5-Star Earth Ranger)

Epic 7 - Arbiter Vildred

Iseria has been considered by many people to be able to stand the test of time in Epic Seven; that is to say, no matter how long the game goes or how the meta changes, as long Iseria does not get her skill set changed she's guaranteed to be good. It is not hard ot see why - she is one of the best units to set up with other characters.

Not only does her second skill instantly refresh the cool down of all her chosen ally's skills, but her third skill dispels all buffs off of her chosen target, decreases their defense and makes them unable to be buffed for two turns. She works great as a PvE unit, especially when paired with units with long cooldowns such as Tamarinne.

4 Landy (5-Star Ice Ranger)

Epic 7 - Tenebria

Landy is a limited unit - meaning that players who were not around for when her banner went live will have to wait for her to run another banner, because she is not available through other means. She has a very strong skill set, hits hard, and punishes the enemy for having buffs.

Every time Landy takes a turn, her passive checks the enemy team to see how many buffs the whole team has. For every buff that the enemy has, she will gain a certain amount of a certain stat - Fighting Spirit - and when that stat is full, she'll refresh the cooldown of her third skill, which then attacks all enemies and ignores their defense by 50%.

3 Commander Pavel (5-Star Light Ranger)

Epic 7 - Iseria

For many players, Commander Pavel is going to be a lot of work to properly set up and build a team around. He is very stat heavy, but very much worth it, due to his passive that is set up with his allies making critical hits and hard-hitting third skill.

His passive builds up as his allies make critical hits - after enough has been made, he triggers an extra skill that attacks all enemies. On top of that, his third skill deals more damage, based on how much attack Commander Pavel has compared to the chosen enemy's defense.

2 Summertime Iseria (5-Star Fire Ranger)

Epic 7 - Karin

As the limited summer version of Iseria, players may not have expected Summertime Iseria to have a skill set that vastly strays from the original version. However, after a bit of experimentation, Summertime Iseria has cemented her place in the meta as extremely annoying to face off against.

This is mainly because her skill set revolves around the Bomb debuff - which explodes when the set amount of turns is up, deals huge damage, and places a Stun debuff on the enemy. Her passive triggers an extra attack when her allies make a non-attack skill (in which she places two bombs on two random enemies), and her third skill detonates all bombs on the enemy, making her very powerful to face off against.

1 Lua (5-Star Ice Ranger)

Epic 7 - Angelica

Many players have figured out that Lua's skill set is a bit overloaded, which makes her one of the best choices to use in the Arena. She is not a damage dealing unit, instead a unit to use at the start of the battle (otherwise known as an opener unit).

Her second skill, after dispelling two buffs from the enemy and putting them to sleep for a turn, will give Lua an extra turn and allow her to chain into her third skill. Her third skill is where she really shines: removing a buff from all enemies, increasing their cooldowns by a turn, giving a Speed buff to all allies for 2 turns, and inflicting a debuff on all enemies that takes 10% of their max HP. Because of this, Lua has been considered by many to be a very strong Ranger unit.

Epic Seven is available on Android and iOS.
