For most of the year, Epic Games Store users are treated to new free games on a weekly basis, but there are times when free games are given out at a quicker pace.
In the past, the Epic Games Store has held free mystery game giveaways in December of each year as a way to count down to the new year. Usually, these free games are given away on a daily basis, giving users a reason to keep opening the Epic Games Store launcher to snag their freebie. Things seem to be going a little differently this year, as the next Epic Games Store free game isn't scheduled to arrive until Wednesday, December 20.

The Destiny 2: Legacy Collection is a great jumping-on point for fans that haven't played Bungie's looter-shooter/MMO hybrid yet. It gives users access to the base game content along with the Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, and Witch Queen expansions. The Witch Queen expansion is generally considered one of the better Destiny 2 expansions, so getting all of this for free is definitely a steal.
Epic Games Store users that enjoy playing Destiny 2: Legacy Collection can decide to take the plunge on buying the Lightfall expansion, currently available for $49.99 on the Epic Games Store. The Lightfall expansion added some interesting new gameplay features and locations to Destiny 2, though wasn't nearly as well-received as The Witch Queen. There's also The Final Shape expansion to look forward to, with that DLC set to wrap up Destiny 2's current story arc next year.
