The Epic Games Store has been an integral digital storefront for games ever since it launched in 2018, and the website and standalone launcher have been popular with players. Epic Games Store also releases a handful of games every month for free for its users, giving gamers another reason to frequent the storefront. Players should always keep an eye out on what free games are available month to month, as in the past there have been some truly amazing games to pick up.

It may only be just over halfway through the year, but the first seven months of 2022 have added another slew of incredible titles to Epic Games Store's list of free games. These may each only be available for a limited time, but if gamers are quick and have their eye on the ball they can make use of some brilliant bargains. This year has been fairly strong for the Epic Games Store so far, but there are a few titles that stand out.

The seventh mainline entry in the Wolfenstein series, Wolfenstein: The New Order, was the shot of adrenaline that the franchise needed. The 2014 title took the brutal, first-person action to an alternate timeline where Nazis won the Second World War and hardened solder William "B.J." Blazkowicz had to battle to stop them from taking over the entire world. The combat was fun and frantic, and the story was surprisingly emotional and affecting given the game's veneer of mindless violence. Wolfenstein: The New Order was well received by critics and fans, and breathed new life into the series.

BioShock: The Collection

BioShock: The Collection brought all of these fan-favorite games together and spruced them up with some graphical and gameplay improvements.

As Morgan Yu, players must collect resources and arm themselves against the highly adaptable aliens as they try to get to the bottom of what's happened to the station.
