Enshrouded is an open-world game set in the vast world of Embervale, which has been plagued by a corrupt fog called Shroud. The Shroud is dangerous as it harms anything and everything it touches. You play as Flameborn, the last hope of Embervale to reclaim the world and defeat Shroud.

Enshrouded has a massive world, and walking or running from one end to the other can take a really long time. This is where the fast travel feature comes into play. Not only does it allow you to travel considerable distances in a second, but also keeps you safe from dangers like enemies and the Shroud. However, this handy feature is not unlocked by default. Keep reading to learn how to fast travel in Enshrouded.

Luckily, you can begin fast traveling pretty early in the game using Flame Altars. With these structures, you can set up your own network of fast travel, so if things get scary, you can escape in a jiffy.

At the start of the game, players get two altars from where they can fast travel. One of them is in Cinder Vault, while the other one is in Ancient Spires. You can establish your own network of fast travel by setting up your own Flame Altars. Flame Altars can be easily crafted as all they need is five stones. When you have placed these Flame Altars, you will be able to fast travel through them. All you need to do is simply open the map and press ‘R’.

You can also upgrade your Frame Altars in Enshrouded. To do so, you will need Shroud Cores, which you can get by defeating Wraith enemies. These enemies are mostly found near Elixir Wells, but you might also find them in other places. When you defeat these Wraiths, they drop Shroud Cores. And yes, they spawn after a while, which means you can keep collecting Shroud Cores without having to make them yourself.

Other than that, you can also find Shroud Cores at the Alchemist. To create one Shroud Core, you will need 10 Shroud Liquids and 10 Shroud Spores.

It is important to note that at the beginning, you can only have two altars active at once. If you want to activate a third Flame Altar, you will need to deactivate one of the two active ones. It would be a good idea to have one permanent Flame Altar and one temporary one, which can be deactivated to make room for another.
