There are different ways to mark progress in survival games, and in Enshrouded, much of that has to do with the crafting possibilities players will gain access to. From humble tools and shabby structures to more solid equipment and grand buildings, there is always something to look forward to as you go deeper and deeper into the fog.
One of the milestone moments will be when players get to upgrade their backpacks, allowing for more inventory space to play with while out on an adventure. Enshrouded: How to Upgrade Flame Altar
Enshrouded's base building centers around the Flame Altar, which should be upgraded as soon as possible. Here is how to do just that.
How to Get Linen in Enshrouded
Linen is obviously not a naturally occurring resource; rather, it must be created from natural materials. To get a good supply of it, players will have to craft it back at the base. To even start this process, the Hunter must first be liberated from her slumber, and be summoned to a suitable shop back at home.
This will begin a series of her quests, which will conclude with The Hunter's Hand Spindle. Placing this new structure in the base will allow players to start producing Linen, and that will require Flax.
Where to Find Flax in Enshrouded
Flax can only be found beyond the Springlands, and the first place players will likely encounter this new resource is in the Revelwood region. Head northeast from the starting area, and eventually, players will enter the wooded area that has plenty of blue flowers growing among the big trees.
Go up near one of these groups of flowers and interact with it. This will grant players Flax to use with the Hand Spindle back at the base. With Flax in hand, interact with the Hand Spindle and add the requisite resource, which will then cause the tool to automatically produce Linen. To make things easier, Flax can also be grown in the safety of your Flame Altar using the Farmer.
How to Use Linen in Enshrouded
Once the Hand Spindle has worked its magic, there should be plenty of Linen to go around for players to utilize in different ways. The most important one will be to get the medium backpack upgrade at the Hunter, allowing for more inventory space on expeditions. There is also the advanced glider to consider, and all of the more advanced armor sets will require Linen as well.
