How to Get Dirt in Enshrouded

Dirt is one of the most basic resources in the game, as you need it for some crucial recipes like Charcoal. Luckily, it is pretty easy to acquire. In fact, it can be found throughout the land of Embervale. However, you can’t just mine it with your bare hands; you will require a pickaxe to collect it. You might already have one, and for those who don’t, here’s how you can craft a pickaxe in Enshrouded.

The crafting recipe for pickaxe calls for the following ingredients:

4 x twigs
1 x stone
1 x string.

You can get twigs by interacting with plants. Next, you will need a stone. Fortunately, stones are plentiful in Embervale; just look around and you’ll easily find a lot of them. And for the last material, you will need a string, which can be made using plant fiber. Plant fibers are also super easy to get; all you have to do is harvest bushes or small shrubs. Since you need just one piece of string for this recipe, three plant fibers will be enough (one string is made with three plant fibers).

With all the resources in hand, you can now craft your pickaxe and get yourself the dirt you need. For this purpose, go to the crafting menu and craft a pickaxe. Luckily, dirt is everywhere in the game. Simply equip your pickaxe and start digging. You’ll likely get enough dirt with the first hit. If you still need more, you can try a different spot. After obtaining dirt, you will find it in your inventory. You can use it to make various items in the game, such as Charcoal.
