How to Get Charcoal in Enshrouded

Charcoal cannot be found lying in the open; instead, you must craft it yourself. For that, you’ll have to make the Charcoal Kiln. To unlock its recipe, you’ll need to unlock Blacksmith. He is one of the five craftspeople in the game, and can help you get strong armor and a variety of materials. He can be unlocked during the Find The Sleeping Survivor quest. Once you have him unlocked, you can place him in your home base with the Summoning Staff.

After that, interact with the Blacksmith to open the crafting menu. Next, select ‘Charcoal Kiln’ from the list. The crafting recipe for Charcoal Kiln requires 20 stones, which are readily available throughout the game world. Just explore your surroundings, and you'll come across a lot of them. You can also break large rocks using the pickaxe to get stones. Once you have crafted the kiln, it will be added to your backpack, and you can place it in the world.

After placing the kiln, you can interact with it, select the Charcoal recipe, and click ‘craft’ to make Charcoal. Crafting it requires the following resources:

17 Wood
3 Dirt
