Enshrouded: How to Finish the Hollow Halls

In the bleak and empty world of Embervale, a deadly fog called the Shroud has crept across the land. As a Flameborn, you are the last hope against this threat. Enshrouded is an adventure-packed game where you must fight for survival in a world filled with mystery and danger. In Embervale, you can explore towering mountains and deserts. But beware, the Shroud isn’t your only enemy. You will also face lots of formidable enemies during your journey.

The game recently received its first update, which added plenty of new content to the game. The Hollow Halls quest was also recently introduced, and in this guide, we’ll cover how you can complete it.

Enshrouded: How to Get Ectoplasm Fragments

Ectoplasm Fragments are a valuable material that you’ll need to craft lots of items in Enshrouded. Here’s how you can acquire them.

Unlocking the Hollow Halls Quest

The Hollow Halls is a long quest and needs to be completed in the right sequence, but it has a lot of valuable rewards at the end. The best part is that even beginners with relatively low-level resources can tackle this quest, and the gear they earn will save them time and resources when it comes to crafting.

You can unlock the Hollow Halls Quest by unlocking the Alchemist NPC and receiving the “Explore the Hollow Halls Quest” from him. Once you do this, you’ll see a new point of interest on your map. These halls are situated near the starting area of the game.

You will need to complete halls in the correct order. Each new dungeon requires a key that you will get from the previous dungeon. Moreover, you will have to complete this quest in one session. Leaving it incomplete will reset your progress, requiring you to start over from the beginning.

The correct sequence of the dungeons is:

Springlands Hollow Halls
Revelwood Hollow Halls
The Nomad Highland Hollow Halls
Kindlewastes Hollow Halls

Before you begin the Hollow Halls quest, make sure you bring along:

Healing potions (you’ll need a lot of them!)
Grappling Hook
Food Buffs
Arrows and Spells

These items are essential, because you will have to fight several enemies during the quest, and as stated above, you must complete this quest in one go. Make sure you are armed and prepared before starting your journey.

You will find that each dungeon has a protective mechanic built in that you need to disable. For that, you’ll need Runes, which you can get by defeating enemies.

Completing Each Dungeon

Springlands Hollow Hall

This is the first Hollow Hall, and is pretty straightforward. That is not to say you will not encounter enemies. You will still face them, but they’ll be relatively weak and can be eliminated quickly. Explore this dungeon and make sure to collect 50 Ectoplasm Fragments and 20 bones, as you will need them in the next stage.

You will then come across a new NPC, called the Collector. Here, you will craft the key for Revelwood Hollow Hall by using Ectoplasmic Fragments and bones you collected earlier.

Revelwood Hollow Hall

When you enter the Revelwood Hollow Hall, your task remains the same: defeat enemies and find Runes. Th quest in Revelwood can take a while, so make sure you're ready for it. As you battle through the dungeon and face regular enemies, you'll eventually come across your first boss, the Hollow Cyclops.

This boss tends to be a bit slow, but his attacks pack a powerful punch. This can be a bit challenging because you will have to fight the boss while dealing with skeletal enemies that spawn around you. Therefore, we recommend going into this quest with a group of friends to make it easier.

After defeating the Hollow Cyclops, you will get its Giant Bones and the Hollow head. You’ll need Giant Bones to craft the Ectoplasmic Press for the Collector NPC. Once you are done, you will receive another quest from the Collector.

The Nomad Highlands Hollow Halls

The Nomad Highlands Hollow Halls are significantly larger compared to the previous ones. Again, you'll spend a lot of time collecting Runes and removing barriers. A new introduction is the Ectoplasmic Shards, which you will get by defeating enemies in this area. These shards are crucial for crafting various items, and you’ll need around 100 of these shards.

Kindlewastes Hollow Hall

To unlock the Kindlewastes Hollow Hall key, you will need two Giant Bones and 100 Ectoplasmic Shards.

Being the last dungeon, this is perhaps the most difficult, so make sure you’re well-equipped with food and tools to beat it. In th quest, you will have to unlock barriers, solve puzzles, fight lots of enemies, and defeat a boss. Consider using explosive arrows when dealing with a group of enemies.

In some sections of this dungeon, you'll encounter the Shroud fog along with enemies. Therefore, keep an eye on your Shroud timer while navigating these areas. Upon completing the Explore the Hollow Halls quest, you will get various exciting rewards, including the Sinister Crescent Staff and the Frozen Core Wand.
