In Enshrouded, players expand their crafting experience with the help of craftspersons. Players unlock them from their respective Ancient Vaults and assign them to their base. However, in order to unlock more crafting recipes and progress further in the game, players must complete some quests given to them by these NPCs.

One such quest is The Alchemist's Mortar Quest, which rewards players with Mortar - an important resource the Alchemist uses to craft spells and potions. However, locating the Mortar can be challenging as its tower is located in the Shroud, which is teeming with various scary enemies. How to Find Mortar in Enshrouded

Mortar can only be obtained by completing The Alchemist's Mortar quest. Since this quest is related to the Alchemist, players must awaken him first from his Ancient Vault. This aim of this quest is to locate the Mortar, which is found in the basement of The Alchemist Tower in the Lone Thistle, and bring it back to the base. The tower's precise location will be available once the player has initiated the quest.

Locate The Alchemist's Tower

The tower is located to the north of the Farmer's Vault. Head north from the ancient Springland Spires until you encounter a shrouded area of Revelwood. Ensure you have enough weapons before taking this route, because this area is crowded with various enemies.

Alternatively, if players want to avoid the shrouded area, they can take a turn right before the Farmers Vault, taking the back route that will take you to Scavengers Hill. Once you clear out the enemies, you can head north toward the Alchemist's Tower.

Players can identify the tower from its tall stone building with lanterns on the door.

Find the Mortar

To find the Mortar, enter the tower and head to the basement and look for the locked gate. To unlock the gate, you will need to find a button, which you can locate by heading up the stairs.

Go upstairs to reach the first floor and continue climbing stairways to head towards the top of the tower. While going through the third stairs, players will see two door frames, which you can break by using any of Enshrouded's weapons, from axes to even torches. Once broken through, you can head to the right and locate the button on the wall and interact with the button to activate and open the gate.

Head back to the basement and retrieve Mortar. Return to your base and place the Mortar behind the Alchemist to finish the quest.
