Like the word in its title, Marvel Studios' upcoming Secret Invasion series remains a big mystery, more so than a lot of the shows that are making their way to Disney Plus in 2022. But every once in a while, new exciting details trickle in that are keeping fans on the edge of their seat, and this time it's a set video featuring Emilia Clarke that has fans guessing.

The upcoming Marvel Studios series will follow Nick Fury as he reunites with the friendly intergalactic Skrull Talos to help take down other rogue Skrulls who have infiltrated Earth and have taken great positions of power. Filming began in Leeds in January, where Samuel L. Jackson and Clarke were spotted on set in rugged outfits, and has since continued filming near Liverpool Street Station in London, U.K, where a new post-apocalyptic set teases the return of Don Cheadle's War Machine.

Now, a short set video tweeted by user Undeuxtrois shows Clarke in a fight scene with another person wearing a grey motion-capture suit. Clarke is seen being choked out by the CGI character while lying on the ground, as she struggles to defend herself. No audio was included in the clip, but Clarke can be seen sporting black hair and an outfit that may fuel theories about her character being an agent of SHIELD or SWORD.

While it's very likely she's duking it out with one of the Skrulls, it's still difficult to tell what is occurring in this video and the context leading up to it, as Clarke's character in the series still remains a secret. Some fans have speculated that she could potentially play a former agent, as she was seen in other set videos walking behind Cobie Smulders' Maria Hill, but even that's unclear since it was revealed Hill turned out to be Soren the Skrull in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

But watching this clip and knowing of her background working on HBO's epic Game of Thrones, it appears that whoever Clarke is playing in Secret Invasion will likely be a character who is featured in quite a few action scenes. Until more details surface online in the coming months as production on the series continues, Secret Invasion is shaping up to be one of Marvel Studios' big successes.

Created by Mr. Robot's Kyle Bradstreet, the series also stars Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, Kingsley Ben-Adir as the main villain, and Olivia Colman, Killian Scott, and Christopher McDonald in undisclosed roles. The series will likely tie into other projects like Ms. Marvel or The Marvels, both of which are set to release in late 2022 and early 2023, respectively.

Secret Invasion is expected to premiere on Disney Plus in late 2022.
