Twitter owner Elon Musk was greeted with boos during the recent Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) in Los Angeles. The live Valorant tournament gathered the 16 best teams across the globe to battle it out to win the coveted VCT trophy.

With Los Angeles as the venue of this year's Valorant Champions event, many viewers, both at the event and those watching the streams, were able to see some familiar faces. This included some famous personalities like Ben Affleck, who apparently mains KAY/O and also disliked Jett's nerfs, and Twitter owner Elon Musk. Unfortunately, the latter didn't receive the warmest of welcomes from the VCT crowd.

During the grand finals between Evil Geniuses and Paper Rex, the live broadcast showed Musk watching in the crowd, but he was instantly met with boos. In a clip shared by Jake Lucky on Twitter, the feed quickly went back to the game the moment the boos started. A few seconds later, loud "Bring back Twitter" chants could be heard in the background.

In the replies of Lucky's tweet, many Valorant fans found the "Bring back Twitter" chants hilarious. Lucky also joked that the reaction might just convince Musk to change Twitter back after its major revamp.

Musk has continuously received flak for the changes he's made to Twitter ever since he acquired the social media platform in late 2022. Last month, he changed its name to "X," followed by a new Twitter logo that replaced the iconic blue bird to an X in a black box. More recently, Musk was criticized for wanting to remove Twitter's Block button, which many users, mostly women, said would make them feel unsafe on the platform. As of writing, the feature hasn't been removed, and it likely won't be because Apple and Google require apps to have a Block button.

Apart from running Twitter and his other business ventures, Musk was also recently trending after he challenged Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to a cage match. While Zuckerberg seemed to be serious about the fight, Musk has allegedly been dodging the challenge. Considering that the Twitter owner was spotted during a live Valorant event, he might just prefer an FPS tournament against the Facebook CEO rather than an actual UFC match.
