Elon Musk announced his plans to speedrun Diablo 4 in a livestream. The tech visionary, known for his groundbreaking innovations, is now trying a new challenge in the universe of Diablo 4. However, don't expect a pro-level speedrun, as Musk himself has set realistic expectations.

Elon Musk's ventures have taken him from electric vehicles to space exploration, and now he's delving into the realm of video games through the acclaimed Blizzard game. The entrepreneur made headlines earlier this month with a gaming-related topic when it went viral that he had convinced Amber Heard, his former girlfriend, to cosplay as Mercy from Overwatch for him. Musk's engagement with the gaming community has always been a subject of curiosity, and this livestream represents his first public step into the world of gaming.

Through his Twitter account, Elon Musk announced his intention to livestream a Diablo 4 speedrun on the night of September 27 at around 11 p.m. CT, with the aim of testing Twitter livestream scaling. Musk stated, "People have asked me to stream myself playing video games," which is why the renowned entrepreneur announced that he would attempt this speedrun in a Tier 99 Nightmare dungeon in Diablo 4. Musk had previously revealed the name of his Diablo 4 character and announced that he played the game. However, Musk later postponed the livestream, citing ongoing work commitments. Later, he announced that it wouldn't be possible for him to carry out the stream that night and that he would postpone it to the following day.

Despite his apparent experience in the game, Musk clarified that this speedrun wouldn't be a professional-level performance. Therefore, although he plans to complete a Tier 99 Nightmare dungeon, he also emphasized that viewers should "keep their expectations low." This isn't surprising considering the many hard challenges that Diablo 4 features. However, Musk announced that he will undertake this speedrun without using malignant hearts, which are gems that boost character stats and provide unique abilities.

The Twitter CEO's post gained significant popularity, garnering an impressive 11.3 million views, 55,000 likes, and nearly 6,000 reposts, underscoring once again the gaming community's curious interest in seeing the entrepreneur venture into the gaming world. The hype is already building with the upcoming update for Diablo 4, set to arrive on October 17, 2023.

Blizzard's highly acclaimed game has managed to captivate both longtime fans of the series and newcomers to the demonic lands of Diablo. Although there might be many players who don't care about Musk's announcement of a livestream, some Diablo 4 fans will likely be eager to witness the gaming skills of the Twitter CEO in action.

Diablo 4 is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
