Out of all the highlights from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, one that stands out is Elizabeth Olsen's thrilling portrayal of Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch. Now, it looks like the character will receive plenty more screen time, as Marvel producer Richie Palmer has teased her MCU future.

Olsen, who made her MCU debut in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron, would go on to become one of the most complex and exciting characters in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. Her conflicted character was fleshed out even more in Disney Plus' WandaVision, as her gradual turn to the more villainous Scarlet Witch would set up future storylines like the one seen in the Doctor Strange sequel.

Doctor Strange 2 ended with Wanda's apparent death after she sacrifices herself by bringing down Mount Wundagore and destroying all copies of the Darkhold throughout the multiverse. Lost in the rubble, it's unclear at first whether that was the end for the character, but Palmer's assured comments for the Doctor Strange 2 audio commentary have now let fans know that that scene was certainly not the end of the Scarlet Witch. "If Doctor Strange is the anchor of the MCU of Phase 4, then Wanda Maximoff is the jewel in the crown," Palmer shared.

If going by the one general rule in many comic book films, no one is really dead if the body is not found or shown on screen, so there were no doubts that fans would see more of Scarlet Witch moving forward. Olsen even hinted at her character's return in a recent interview, sharing she wants to know what die-hard fans would like to see from Scarlet Witch next. While there's no telling when her next appearance in the MCU will occur, it looks like any future stories will follow her redemption arc after her villainous actions shown in WandaVision and now Doctor Strange 2.

After the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, the 28th MCU film follows Benedict Cumberbatch's sorcerer hero through the alternate realities of the multiverse as he is forced to make new allies in order to defeat new threats that seek to wreak havoc on several universes. Other than Olsen and Cumberbatch's roles, the film also stars Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, Benedict Wong as Wong, and Rachel McAdams as Christine Palmer. The sequel received generally favorable reviews, as many praised Sam Raimi's unique direction.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now streaming on Disney Plus.
