Tamriel is a vast continent and its many Provinces and landscapes cannot possibly be covered in just a few games. The Elder Scrolls has released five games in its main series that so far have done their best to explore as much of Tamriel as possible, but a lot of ground needs more thorough coverage.

While the first two games, Arena and Daggerfall, encompassed all the provinces in the Empire, technology has updated a lot since the mid-1990s when they were released, and many players have most likely not played these games due to them being inaccessible. The Elder Scrolls Online also encompasses the entirety of Tamriel, but is not counted as a main game in The Elder Scrolls, and rather as a multiplayer spinoff.

High Rock neighbors Skyrim and Hammerfell and is the home of the Breton and Orsimer people. Its two most famous cities, Daggerfall and Wayrest, are located along the southern coast on the Iliac Bay. High Rock is known for its many kingdoms which were at odds with each other for centuries, eventually, these were diminished to just five factions. The Bretons tend to keep to the south of the Province while the Orsimer keep to the mountains in the north.

The home of the Redguards, Hammerfell is one of the largest regions of Tamriel. It actually isn't a Province after it rejected the White-Gold Concordat, thanks to the Empire acquiescing to the Aldmeri Dominion's demand that they hand over southern Hammerfell to them. Hammerfell is most famous for the Alik'r Desert, which is the largest desert in Tamriel, but the nation has diverse and is also filled with jungles, mountains, and plains.

New Cultures and Religions to Be Introduced in The Elder Scrolls 6

The Redguards of Hammerfell come from a continent called Yokuda and practice the religion inherited from their homeland, as such, it only vaguely resembles the religion of the Eight Divines followed by much of the rest of Tamriel. Hammerfell has been rumored to be the setting of The Elder Scrolls 6.

Valenwood lies in the south-west of Tamriel on the borders of Elsweyr and Cyrodiil, is the home of the Bosmer, and is a part of the Aldmeri Dominion. As the name of the native people of Wood Elves in The Elder Scrolls imply, its home to tropical forests that are so dense that there are very few roads that go through it, and much of the region is unexplored by outsiders. Valenwood is traditionally a part of the Aldmeri Dominion, which conquered it during its original campaigns in the Second Era.

The second group and leaders of the Aldmeri Dominion are the Summerset Isles, the lands of the Altmer. The Summerset Isles is an archipelago off the coast of the continent of Tamriel. Unlike Valenwood, the Summerset Isles are considered very pleasant, with a temperate climate. The Altmer, on the other hand, are not culturally tolerant of outsiders and have a reputation of being arrogant.

Elsweyr is also a part of the Aldmeri Dominion, though its inhabitants are the Khajiit, rather than elves. Elsweyr borders Valenwood, Cyrodiil, and Black Marsh, and has badlands in the north, with fertile regions in the south. The Khajiit of Elsweyr have a culture based around the moon, with moon sugar being a revered substance and a part of the daily diet for Khajiit.

The home of the Argonians is Black Marsh, a land of marshes and mysterious beings that resemble trees called the Hist. After the Oblivion Crisis, Black Marsh was the first Province to secede from the Empire. Black Marsh borders Morrowind, which it has a contentious history with because the Dunmer continuously raided Black Marsh for slaves until the Third Era. The habit ceased when the Argonians invaded Morrowind and nearly conquered the Province.

The Elder Scrolls 6 is in development.
