Most MMOs nowadays have some kind of re-speccing system for attributes and levels built into the game, either through a separate purchase, a roleplaying-appropriate method, or otherwise. Elder Scrolls Online is unique for having three different ways to change attributes.
By praying at specific shrines throughout the world, using the new Armory system, or purchasing an Attribute Respecification scroll from the Crown Store, Elder Scrolls Online players can reset their Magicka, Stamina, and Health stats and re-allocate them as they see fit.
Method One: Pray At Specific Shrines Throughout Tamriel
Most major cities in Elder Scrolls Online have some kind of shrine that players can interact with to give an offering to the gods. Each of the faction capitals has their own temple with these altars inside, and most major cities in the game's DLCs have them too.
They are usually named different things depending on the player's location, based on the gods of the area. For example, the shrine might be dedicated to Akatosh in one area and dedicated to Kyne in another. Be sure to check what stat is being reset before committing to the thousands-of-gold pricetag of rededication.
Method Two: Use The Armory System To Your Advantage
The Armory is a new system in Elder Scrolls Online that goes well beyond cosmetic changes. By interacting with an Armory station, available in the Crown Store for free, players can switch between multiple different builds, including curse status, skill points, weapons, armor, and of course attributes.
This only works as a reset if the player leaves one of their Armory slots completely empty. By saving an empty build, it can be loaded onto the character for free. This will remove currently-equipped armor, but those can be easily re-equipped. After loading the blank build, all of your Champion Points, Skill Points, and Attribute Points should be refunded to you.
Method Three: Buy An Attribute Respec Scroll From The Crown Store
The last method of re-doing one's attributes in Elder Scrolls Online is to buy an Attribute Respec scroll in the in-game Crown Store, though this is the least recommended method of the three. While it's the most convenient option, it's just not worth the real-life pricetag.
The Respec Scroll costs 700 Crowns, which might not seem like a lot, but consider that you only get 1650 Crowns each month with an ESO Plus subscription. Instead of paying a relatively small amount of gold in-game or using the Armory system, you'll waste half of your month's Crowns to respec, which just isn't a good value.
