There are plenty of unique builds for every class in The Elder Scrolls Online. There are plenty of armor sets that players can choose from for PvE and/or PvP content within the game. Finding the right sets can be a little challenging, especially in PvP. Every ESO player has a different fighting style and needs different sets to match their style and needs.
While it takes some time to figure out the perfect setup, there are a few armor sets that players should have if they plan on making a Magicka DPS for PvP.
10 Burning Spellweave: Burn Enemies Alive
An armor that has been consistently great for both PvE and PvP throughout the years. Magicka Dragonknights are fans of this set because it procs when a flame damage ability is used. Since the Magicka Dragonknight uses almost all Flame Damage abilities, it will proc a lot for them.
It applies the Burning status effect and increases spell damage by 490. Magicka Templars are also fans of this set if they're using a flame staff. It's a great set for both beginners and veteran players.
9 Necropotence: Pets With Power
A favorite set for Magicka users with pets. This set is especially popular with Magicka Sorcerers and Wardens. It increases Magicka when there's an active pet. More Magicka means high spell damage and having high spell damage is always a good thing. With the Sorcerers already being able to summon Daedra for battle, this means they can constantly have high Magicka.
The Wardens can use the Betty Netch skill or Feral Guardian Ultimate as their active pet. What makes this set so good is that some sets that proc count as pets. The Engine Guardian and Maw of the Infernal duos count as pets when they proc. The shade from the Nightblade skill Summon Shade also counts as a pet when active.
8 Spinner’s Garment: Extra Spell Penetration At No Cost
A set that is a favorite among all classes and is great for both PvP and PvE. It increases maximum Magicka and spell damage. What makes this set a must-have for Magicka DPS is that it adds spell penetration.
While it is possible to have too much, most of the time extra spell penetration can be beneficial. It allows players to be able to hit harder without having to worry about having a debuff on enemies.
7 War Maiden: A Magicka Templar’s Best Friend
Another set that has remained consistent since its release in The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind. Magicka Templars love this set because it adds an extra spell to Magic Damage skills.
Since most of Magicka Templar's abilities deal Magic Damage, this set gives them that extra kick of damage. Overall, it's a good set for any player that has a Magicka Templar and is looking to enter the PvP world.
6 Amber Plasm: Recovery For Health, Stamina, And Magicka
One of the best sets in the game to have. This set gives players extra Magicka, spell critical, and spell damage. What makes this set extra special for Magicka DPS is that it gives them Magicka, stamina, and health recovery. Most Magicka DPS' health and stamina recovery tend to be lower than their Magicka recovery, so this set helps give them a boost.
That boost can be a huge lifesaver for Magicka DPS because their health can recover faster. With their stamina recovering faster, they can roll dodge, or break free from enemy attacks.
5 Bright-Throat’s Boast: Drink A Potion For Extra Benefits
A set that can benefit all classes. This set increases max Magicka and Magicka recovery. When the player drinks a potion, their max Magicka is increased for another 2000 Magicka, and their recovery increases by another 133. As long as the buff from the potion remains active, players will have this trait from the armor active.
Any class can use this set. Depending on race and the Mundus Stone that’s active, the player’s Magicka and Magicka recovery can be through the roof.
4 Crafty Alfiq: More Magicka, More Power
Another set that can benefit all classes. This set increases max Magicka by almost 6000 points. More Magicka means more spell damage. A few spells are based on how much max Magicka the player has so this will help give the player that extra boost of power.
With a much larger Magicka pool, players will be able to cast more spells and have a lot of spell damage that will spell trouble for enemy players.
3 Buffer Of The Swift: A Tanky Light Armor Set
This is a light armor set that is great for Magicka users wanting to be a little tanky. It increases max Magicka and both physical and spell resistance. The best trait of this armor set is that it reduces damage from enemy players by 10%. This will help keep players in light armor which will help keep their spell damage high.
2 Mother’s Sorrow: Make Spell Critical Insanely High
Similar to Crafty Alfiq, but Mother’s Sorrow increases spell critical. It also increases max Magicka by 1096 points. With high spell critical, players can deal a lot of damage. A player’s critical resistance is innately lower than their physical and spell resistance.
Depending on the player character’s race and potions used, they can take advantage of having high spell critical. Bombers love having high spell critical because it increases their chance of successfully take out large groups.
1 Vicious Death: Enemies Of Bombers Beware
A Nightblade bomber’s best friend. This set increases max Magicka, spell critical, and spell damage. What makes this set great for Nightblade bombers is that it has spell penetration and when the player kills an enemy player, the enemy explodes and damages all other enemy players in a five-meter radius.
This could set off a chain reaction of enemies killing each other. With a race that has high spell damage or spell critical, and depending on other sets used, one player can take out a large group of players in one hit. If players are looking to become a Nightblade bomber in PvP, this set is a must-have.
