10 Moonmirth House

Price: 50,000 Gold or 2,200 Crowns (2,800 Furnished)

Location: Laughing Moons Plantation, Khenarthi's Roost

This beautiful Khajiiti house is one of the cheapest and sits on stilts above a moon sugar farm. It becomes available to purchase after completing the Khenarthi's Roost zone story, so it's a perfect beginner home for an Aldmeri Dominion character.

The house is quite small, being only a single room, but it has a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere with plenty of space for clutter.

9 Humblemud

Price: 40,000 Gold or 2,100 Crowns (2,600 Furnished)

Location: Dhalmora, Bal Foyen

Humblemud is a pod-style home located in an Argonian town in Morrowind. Despite being built primarily out of mud, it's actually quite a cozy home and even comes with its own walled courtyard for players to decorate.

The house becomes available to purchase if the player earns the Hero of Bleakrock achievement and rescues every villager on Bleakrock Isle, the starting zone for Ebonheart Pact characters.

8 Cyrodilic Jungle House

Despite being located in the forests of Valenwood, this is a Colovian-style villa perfect for human supporters of the Aldmeri Dominion. The house overlooks a trading post, has a large courtyard for outdoor gatherings, and inside players can keep warm by its fireplace.

Players who like Medieval architecture, but love the jungle setting, would feel quite at home here.

7 Snugpod

Price: 45,000 Gold or 2,150 Crowns (2,700 Furnished)

Location: Elden Root, Grahtwood

A tiny, traditional Bosmer home in the heart of the Aldmeri Dominion, with the jungle right on the player's doorstep. This house was actually grown, not built, since Wood Elves are forbidden from harming trees, so it's perfect for any character of that race. It's also one of the cheapest homes that aren't an inn room or apartment.

Snugpod is only a stone's throw away from the Dominion capital, so it has access to everything a player would need.

6 Exorcised Coven Cottage

Elder Scrolls Online Exorcised Coven Cottage exterior

Price: 250,000 Gold or 3,500 Crowns (4,400 Furnished)

Location: Hag Fen, Glenumbra

This home is a bit more expensive than other houses, but 250,000 Gold is not too difficult to save up if players know how to make money. However, it can be tricky to have access to, since it's only available after completing every achievement associated with the Witches Festival, which occurs every year around the end of October.

Location: Rawl'kha, Reaper's March

This is a sizable Khajiit home that isn't too pricey relative to other houses, sitting on stilts above a large courtyard. It is located within a city built on a river in the gorgeous grasslands that mark the border between Valenwood and Elsweyr and is a great place to rest and bake in the sun.

The house and its exterior have heaps of space to decorate, with room for over 200 furnishings (or 400 for players with ESO Plus). It's a fantastic place for a Khajiit to come home to.

4 Twin Arches

Players who want to make their home in Hammerfell can purchase this house for a low price, and it is a beautiful place to host small gatherings.

3 Captain Margaux's Place

Price: 56,000 Gold or 2,300 Crowns (2,900 Furnished)

Location: Daggerfall, Glenumbra

This is a small, but endearing home within the city of Daggerfall, made to look like a typical Medieval European dwelling.

It has a large fireplace, bright windows, and just outside are all the amenities Daggerfall has to offer, being near the city's bank and crafting stations. It's a great first home for members of the Daggerfall Covenant, as it's cheap and located in one of the first zones players of that Alliance visit.

For this house to be purchasable with Gold, players must complete the Shattered Hopes zone quest in The Rift.

1 Hall Of The Lunar Champion

Elder Scrolls Online Hall of the Lunar Champion exterior

Price: Free!

Location: Northern Elsweyr, Rimmen

This home is huge and was once a grand temple built to honor a Khajiiti hero. Despite being a large manor, it actually costs no Gold at all, and is thus one of the most affordable homes in the game!

However, it can only be acquired as a reward for completing the quest Two Queens as part of the Elsweyr expansion, and to access certain sections of the temple, players must also complete particular achievements from Elsweyr and the Scalebreaker and Dragonhold DLCs. Thus, access to all Season of the Dragon content is required for this free house. However, the effort required to get this home is worth it.

The Elder Scrolls Online is currently available on PC, macOS, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
