Perhaps one of the most intriguing aspects of the Elder Scrolls series is just how expansive the world known as Tamriel actually is. Each individual game may exist in its own provinces and regions, but put together it becomes a pretty enormous place. With one fan noting that the real earth could one day resemble Tamriel, it shows just how much the whole franchise relies on having such an epic universe, and how important it is to the fan base. With that, one person has showcased their skills by creating a laser cut map of the Elder Scrolls domain.

Uploading a series of photographs to the Elder Scrolls Subreddit a couple of days ago, user RiidoArts has managed to create a map of Tamriel which contains all the regions canonically known in the lore. Not only have they crafted each region and island, but they've also burned in quite a lot of detail, such as the mountain ranges, forest areas, as well as naming each major city that players come across in current games, and may come across in future installments.

There has been much praise lavished upon the creator for their work, with one person suggesting that they could perhaps sell it, and another saying they would happily buy it. One user did point out that the spelling of the Breton homeland High Rock was incorrect, with RiidoArts burning it into the map as "Highrock" instead. However, the comment was received well and the creator of the map did say that the piece would be easy to replace if need be. In general, commenters are impressed with the work that's been put into it, and it is an impressive looking map that is not only accurate, but the wood aesthetic really gives it that Elder Scrolls vibe.

Maps and map creation are part and parcel of being a fan of the franchise. One Skyrim fan recently showed off their wood burned map of the game, which, similar to RiidoArts' efforts, has an incredible amount of detail, showing that a lot of love went into the project. Both maps show just how iconic the actual worlds of the franchise are, and that they are more than just a means of giving players places to go in-game.

The Elder Scrolls games have such an expansive lore, and the world of Tamriel serves to enhance that with environmental storytelling and its own history. While fans may be getting antsy about the next installment in the series, which may not be for a few more years, there are others who are dedicating themselves to showing their love of the games that are already out.
