The White Mask is a unique headpiece in Elden Ring that players that are building around blood loss should absolutely have access to. This armor provides a 10% attack power increase for 20 seconds when there is blood loss nearby, which is a very powerful effect when coupled with weapons like Elden Ring's Rivers of Blood katana or Eleonora's Poleblade. Obtaining the White Mask can be a bit tricky, though, and this guide contains full details on the process.
To note, general descriptions of a couple of late-game locations and a boss must be revealed in order to adequately describe how to get the White Mask in Elden Ring. While this guide will attempt to keep such spoilers to a minimum, players should be aware of their presence before they continue reading.
Elden Ring: White Mask Location
The first step toward obtaining the White Mask is to reach Mohgwyn Palace, and there are a couple of options for traveling to this location. One of those options is to use the Pureblood Knight's Medal to teleport there directly, and that item is earned through White-Mask Varre's questline. Alternatively, players can go to Mohgwyn Palace by passing through a waygate in the Consecrated Snowfield, an area that is accessed with Elden Ring's Haligtree Secret Medallion, and the precise position of that transporter is shown on this map:
Regardless of the route that a player takes to Mohgwyn Palace in Elden Ring, they should make their way to the portion of the area that is filled with red liquid upon arrival. This area lies to the east of the mausoleum and to the west of the Palace Approach Ledge-Road Site of Grace, and fans will encounter some very nasty giant crows in it. Players will also run into several Nameless White Mask invaders amidst the red liquid, and they are the key to obtaining the White Mask.
Indeed, one of these invaders will drop the White Mask when slain, and players should simply ride around in the liquid and kill these NPCs until they receive the item of interest. Notably, there are a total of three Nameless White Mask invaders that can appear in this area, though fans may receive the White Mask before they have dispatched them all. That said, it is very important to mention that these enemies will not appear if a player defeats Elden Ring's Mohg, Lord of Blood, and fans that have already killed that powerful foe may need to look for the White Mask in NG+.
