Elden Ring presents special items known as Talismans, accessory equipment that provides players with unique beneficial effects. These items can bolster the offense, defense, and other aspects of a character, enhancing their capabilities and allowing them to better fend against the dangers of the Lands Between. Being such a powerful item to utilize, players cannot undergo their journey to become Elden Lord without a Talisman. However, with numerous Talismans in their possession, this venture becomes an all the more plausible plight.
Fortunately, Elden Ring features Key Items known as Talisman Pouches throughout the Lands Between. These outstanding items increase the total number of Talismans equipable by players. Having more than one Talisman will allow players to become immensely powerful, albeit still weaker than the formidable bosses of Elden Ring. However, acquiring Talisman Pouches is no easy endeavor, as players must perform impressive feats of strength like slaying a seemingly insurmountable foe. With that, here is where to get Talisman Pouches in Elden Ring.
First Talisman Pouch
Players can acquire the first Talisman Pouch early on in the game. Obtaining it requires them to face and defeat Margit, the Fell Omen. He is the first non-optional boss that players encounter in the Lands Between, but his early appearance is not relative to his strength. In truth, Margit, the Fell Omen, is a challenging adversary who grants players a hint at the difficulty of the journey ahead.
Fortunately, players can mitigate the difficulty of beating Margit, the Fell Omen, by utilizing particular strategies and items. Even so, players should remain vigilant and leave little room for error. Upon vanquishing Margit, the Fell Omen, players will be awarded 1200 Runes and the first Talisman Pouch, increasing the total number of Talismans they can equip to two. Afterward, players must continue their journey, and eventually, they will be able to obtain the second Talisman Pouch.
Second Talisman Pouch
Players can obtain the second Talisman Pouch sometime during the middle of the game. To do so, players must visit Finger Reader Eniaupon acquiring two Great Runes, which are special items dropped by Demigods. These Demigods are the main bosses of Elden Ring and, as such, offer an overwhelmingly demanding challenge. Needing to defeat two of these legendary foes makes the acquirement of the second Talisman Pouch an arduous endeavor.
As players progress through the game, they will encounter two Demigods following the defeat of Margit, the Fell Omen. The first few Demigods that players will face are Godrick the Grafted and Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon. Each is an exceedingly challenging opponent, boasting superiority over most bosses in terms of power.
However, as with most bosses, there is a method to beating these venerable foes, lessening the challenge ever so slightly. Upon vanquishing Godrick the Grafted, players will receive 15,000 Runes, Remembrance of the Grafted, and Godrick's Great Rune. Defeating Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, rewards players with 40,000 Runes, Remembrance of the Full Moon, and the Great Rune of the Unborn.
With two Great Runes in their possession, players must find Finger Reader Enia and speak to her. She will congratulate them for their accomplishments and gift them the second Talisman Pouch, increasing the total number of Talismans they can equip to three. The third and final Talisman Pouch will become available later in their quest to become Elden Lord.
Third Talisman Pouch
Players can receive the third Talisman Pouch near the end of the game. Acquiring it demands players to encounter and defeat Godfrey, First Elden Lord. He is one of the last non-optional bosses players face later in the story. However, as his esteemed title suggests, Godfrey, First Elden Lord, is by far one of the most revered and challenging bosses players will face.
Despite what players initially believe, Godfrey, First Elden Lord, is not without vulnerabilities and weaknesses. Players can mitigate the challenges of this fight, but as is true for many Elden Ring bosses, it still poses significant difficulty. Upon vanquishing Godfrey, First Elden Lord, players will be awarded 80,000 Runes, Remembrance of Hoarah Loux, and the last Talisman Pouch, bringing the number of equipable Talismans to four. With that, players will have collected every available Talisman Pouch in Elden Ring.
