The world of Elden Ring is filled with many fearsome enemies that relentlessly attack players. While it is more approachable than other games by From Software, it is not exactly easier, and many players are reporting a significant difficulty spike in the final third of Elden Ring. One particular late-game main story boss is being labeled as one of the most challenging fights designed by FromSoftware.

Anyone who plays Elden Ring encounters, and probably dies multiple times to, the Tree Sentinel boss. It appears right next to the first Site of Grace in the open world, but it is also easily avoidable. Many users come back to this boss after leveling up and getting better equipment, but it can still be a tough encounter. However, some players look at this as a challenge and spend hours fighting the Tree Sentinel at the beginning of the game. Players will encounter different versions of the Tree Sentinel fight at various points throughout Elden Ring, and it has probably become one of the most infamous optional bosses in the game.

It is also possible to fully equip the armor and weapon used by the Tree Sentinel in Elden Ring and user H4ZZ4RDOU shows off this set in a post online. H4ZZ4RDOU has equipped the full armor set, along with the weapon and shield, but the horse is missing as players can only use Torrent. Other users are making fun of how out of place Torrent looks in the picture, and they are wishing that Elden Ring allowed them to change the horse’s armor.

Twistervtx is thinking of a dream scenario where Elden Ring players could invade others on horseback, so they could cosplay as a "bargain bin Tree Sentinel." Players can supposedly find this armor in Auriza Hero's Grave. The first Tree Sentinel boss drops the Golden Halberd weapon, while the Erdtree Greatshield can be acquired by defeating a boss later on in the game. This shield is particularly useful as it can deflect magic attacks onto the caster.

While the Tree Sentinel armor looks intimidating, Elden Ring is filled with a variety of sets that offer unique resistances and defensive bonuses. Similar to the Dark Souls games, players can even unlock weapons and armor used by major story bosses in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
