The Three Fingers in Elden Ring are an enigmatic entity that opposes the Two Fingers that are featured prominently throughout the early game. Players must make a choice in the later parts of Elden Ring, a choice that affects the ending of the game, and the choice to abandon the Two Fingers in favor of total chaos is the only one that locks players into a certain ending over the others.

The Three Fingers are described in tons and tons of item descriptions throughout Elden Ring as an entity that holds its followers in its thrall. When speaking to Shabiri in the Mountaintops of Giants players learn that they don't have to become Elden Lord after all: they can instead become the Lord of Chaos. To initiate this process, you'll have to travel deep underground.

The Frenzied Flame Can Be Inherited From The Three Fingers

Elden Ring Three Fingers Location Guide Where Is He Our Lord Of The Frenzied Flame Spirit

The Frenzied Flame is a somewhat cloudy entity within the Elden Ring universe, something that is described as being the only way to spare the life of a maiden when taking the power of the Flame of Ruin for oneself. That doesn't mean it's something Melina will thank you for – in fact, she threatens to kill you if you do choose to inherit the Frenzied Flame.

The Three Fingers are described as being "maddening", a fitting description considering the horrors of the Village of the Frenzied Flame in Liurnia and others afflicted with Madness. Inheriting the Frenzied Flame doesn't make you go mad, though, instead, it just opens up a new ending that opposes the Golden Order and overwrites all other unlockable endings in Elden Ring.

Where To Find The Three Fingers

Elden Ring Three Fingers Location Guide Behind Leyndell Catacombs Jumping Puzzle Dead Merchants

The Three Fingers are found deep, deep below Leyndell. To start your search, head to the Underground Roadside Site of Lost Grace in the Subterranean Shunning Grounds, which is itself accessed by dropping down a well in a ruin found in lower Leyndell. Go past the Ogres and head through the door leading to the pipe room. This room is elaborate, so take your time exploring every nook and cranny for a variety of useful items and hidden dungeons found throughout. Eventually, you will find an elevator that leads to the Forsaken Depths.

Here players face off against a shade of Mohg, called Mohn the Omen, inside the Cathedral of the Forsaken. After defeating this boss head to the altar at the far end of the church and hit the wall behind it to reveal a secret passageway. This leads to a tall stone room with what appear to be Frenzied Merchants taking up almost every square inch of space. Carefully jump down the wooden beams and gravestones to reach the bottom, the Frenzied Flame Proscription. To open the door that leads to the Three Fingers, take off all of your armor.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
