Streamer DrDeComposing recently played through Elden Ring to the end and defeated the final boss without taking even one hit. Perhaps even more impressive, he was able to complete this task while using a special saxophone-controller. In a tweet, featuring a video of the culmination of his run, the gamer explained that this was an "any%" run and the first ever successful "no-hit" playthrough using something other than a regular controller.

In the video, DrDeComposing shows remarkable focus and calm, even as he approaches the final battle and the viewers in his chat are raving about the excitement of the moment. When he deals the final blow to the Elden Beast and finishes the game, though, he goes wild with everyone else in the stream, finally showing his elation achieving the seemingly impossible. Adding to the accomplishment was the speed with which he was able to defeat Elden Ring's Elden Beast, making it look not just possible, but easy.

Elden Ring is certainly known for having a high skill-floor, requiring a great of talent just to get through it. Players like DrDeComposing, however, also show that the game has a high skill-ceiling with dedicated gamers able to become shockingly good at it. While some are still struggling to master landing critical hits in Elden Ring, others are looking for ways to make it even more difficult and still blowing through it with apparent ease.

Few streamers or experienced players see success on their first try, of course. Recently, an Elden Ring player tried to mock Iron Ball and paid for it. Still, streamers like DrDeComposing are demonstrating what can be done and raising the bar for everyone else.

Elden Ring is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
