Elden Ring is FromSoftware's biggest release of the year and is among the most anticipated fantasy games of all time. Meanwhile, other new developments in the gaming world related to the Steam Deck will act as icing on the cake for Elden Ring and other FromSoftware games' fans.

Valve Corporation has come to the rescue for gamers who want to enjoy their favorite FromSoftware titles in a portable setting. Valve has given the official confirmation that Elden Ring is now Steam Deck verified. Apart from this, Valve has also confirmed several other FromSoftware games to be Steam Deck verified. These include Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Dark Souls 2: Scholar Of The First Sin, and Dark Souls 3. Furthermore, Valve recently confirmed Steam Deck now has more than 240 verified titles. Fans might have to wait a little longer to play Dark Souls Remaster, Dark Souls 3 Deluxe Edition, and Dark Souls 2 on Steam Deck.

Wario64, the famous Twitter user, confirmed the same by sharing a screenshot of his steam portal, which shows a green checkmark for the verified titles. Games usually belong to one of these categories in Steam Deck, unknown, unsupported, playable, and verified. The unknown titles will have a question mark icon, and the playable ones will have a yellow marker. The image clearly shows the verified titles, one playable and two unknown titles. Users might need to tweak their in-game settings for "playable" titles to enjoy them on Steam Deck. Valve recently announced that Steam users can check their games compatibility with Steam Deck.

Whether the Steam Deck will provide a seamless and immersive gaming experience is a matter of debate among experts, particularly when heavy titles like Elden Ring are concerned. A section of the gaming community is not convinced of the hardware capabilities of the Steam Deck, specifically its battery life. However, there is talk about a certain AMD technology that boosts Steam Deck battery life. Steam Deck could indeed be an elegant solution to modern-day portable gaming troubles if these claims are genuine.

Both the Steam Deck and Elden Ring were highly anticipated by gaming fans. Elden Ring, in particular, was a much-awaited title by fantasy games fans because of the collaboration of two immensely renowned personalities. Fans were eager to see the alliance of George RR Martin, writer of Game of Thrones and The Song Of Ice & Fire Series, and Hidetaka Miyazaki, the director and writer of several FromSoftware titles.

Elden Ring is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
