A section of the fans is finding the game very tough, in response to which the director, Hideki Matsuyama, was apologetic to Elden Ring fans. In contrast, others praise the game's storyline, design, combat, and realism. In particular, Elden Ring's weather mechanism is a brilliant example of how life-like and realistic the gameplay can be.
Collaborator George R.R. Martin is delighted with positive Elden Ring reviews, thanks to the gameplay and story. The weather conditions are a vital part of the gameplay, and it highly influences Elden Ring combat, specifically when casting spells is concerned. Fans have recently discovered that the weather type dramatically impacts the efficacy of spells and how much damage they inflict on enemies. This is a massive discovery as it can go a long way in determining one's success in the game. The Reddit user noticed that fire spells dealt different damage in rainy and dry weather. The screenshot shows the fire spell dealing damage of 429 in dry weather while the same damage was reduced to 386 in rainy weather. Rainy weather can also be a friend if the right spell is chosen. For instance, the following screenshot compares the lightning spell in rainy and sunny weather. Interestingly, the lightning spell was more potent in rainy conditions where it dealt 677 damage, while in sunny weather, the spell dealt damage of only 616.
The difference might not seem like much at first, but in reality, using the weather to one's advantage will go a long way to success in the game. For players who want to have more Elden Ring spell slots, efficiency with spells should be the primary concern. Elden Ring's focus on making the game more realistic and immersive has received positive acclaim from gamers and critics.
However, it seems the game's excellent combination of weather mechanisms and spells has not managed to impress the game streamers' community. Many streamers have been incredibly vocal about their views on the game, notably Dr Disrespect, who criticized the Elden Ring camera.
