Shadow Of The Erdtree: What To Do With Remembrance Of The Twin Moon Knight - Elden Ring DLC

Defeating Rellana, Twin Moon Knight will be rewarding to those who wish to obtain her weapons and Spell in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.

In Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, the Remembrance of the Wild Boar is special because it unlocks two powerful new tools. Each one fits into a different build, but choosing which one will be the best for you can be a bit of a head scratcher. To shed some light on things, let's take a look at which of these choices is better for your build and how you can make the most of this remembrance.

This Remembrance is worth duplicating if you want both options.

What To Do With Remembrance Of The Wild Boar Rider?

Remembrance of Wild Boar Rider in Elden Ring

Remembrance of Commander Gaius, hewn into the Scadutree. The power of its namesake can be unlocked by the Finger Reader. Alternatively, it can be used to gain a great bounty of runes. Both were as elder brothers to the lion, and both were cursed from birth. In spite of, or perhaps because of this very reason, Gaius was both Messmer's friend and the leader of his men.

With the Remembrance in your inventory, head to Finger Reader Enia, who can be found at the Roundtable Hold. Speak to her, and select the Remembrance Of The Wild Boar Rider. You'll be given a choice between redeeming this remembrance for 50,000 runes or using it to get a new weapon. Due to how rare remembrances are, you should never turn them in for runes on your first playthrough.

Instead, choose the latter option and redeem it for a new item. You'll be given two choices: the Sword Lance weapon or the Blades of Stone sorcery. At its most simple, you'll want to choose the Sword Lance if you need a strong melee option that can scale well with Strength, and you'll want to choose the Blades of Stone if you're already running a high Intelligence build. There are a few other factors that can make this choice a little more complex, so let's dive a bit deeper into each one.

The Sword Lance is a Heavy Thrusting Sword that's perfect for Strength builds. If you change its attribute to a Heavy infusion, its strength scaling will be increased to rank A (173), which makes it the best Heavy Thrusting Sword in the game for the Strength stat. You could either use that infusion for pure raw damage, or you could also use a Fire infusion if you prefer to build around an element since Fire Ashes of War (not Flame Art) scale with Strength.

Heavy Thrusting Swords also have a wonderful move set for PvP. Their long reach and high damage make them amazing at roll-catching, and their sprint-heavy attack can catch hostile Tarnished whenever they try to run or cast spells.

However, if you're not using a strength build and still want to use the Sword Lance, there's a good argument to combine this weapon with an elemental affinity instead. The Sword Lance gains a solid chunk of element (base ~200 at +25) when you change its affinity, which is higher than most weapons and more than enough to make it worth enhancing through talismans and Physic bottle crystals.

This idea is best seen when this weapon is used with a Dexterity build. Even though the Sword Lance has some decent scaling with Dex, you'll be better off using the Dragon King's Cragblade since it scales better with Dex. However, a Lightning Sword Lance will deal more Lightning damage, and in the right conditions (enemy is in water, and Lightning-Shrouding Cracked Tear is activated), it'll deal more damage than the Cragblade can.

The Blades of Stone are a sorcery that summons jagged rocks at a target's location. This sorcery can be charged, with each charge level increasing the number of times the rocks will strike your target (up to 3 times at max charge).

Since this sorcery scales purely with Intelligence, this option is best taken for any build focusing on intelligence as their main damage-dealing stat. Because the Blades of Stone are a Gravity sorcery, it also follows the common theme among those spells of dealing higher than average amounts of poise damage. If you want to create a build that would benefit off breaking stances, the Blades of Stone are a good choice for a ranged option.

Additionally, since the Blades hit such a wide area around your target, it's also a great way to add more AoE into your spell kit. Small enemies will get shredded by the rocks, while large enemies can get staggered by the poise damage. This is particularly hilarious when you're using it in the Arena, where you can catch multiple players at once if they aren't paying attention to you.
