After upgrading an armament in Elden Ring to +6, players will no longer be able to use Smithing Stone [2] to improve the weapon. Instead, these fans will need to spend Smithing Stone [3], and later Smithing Stone [4], to increase the armament's offensive power. Fortunately, it is possible to purchase an unlimited number of Smithing Stones 3 and 4 in Elden Ring, and this guide will detail exactly how that is done.

Elden Ring: How to Buy Smithing Stone 3 & 4

Players that are interested in buying Elden Ring's Smithing Stones 3 and 4 should focus their efforts on obtaining the Smithing-Stone Miner's Bell Bearing [2]. This key item can be found in a chest inside the Sealed Tunnel, an optional dungeon in the Altus Plateau region. To reach the Sealed Tunnel, fans should navigate to the cliff that is just east of the Outer Wall Phantom Tree Site of Grace, descend into the southern pool of water, and continue south until they encounter an entrance that is marked with a brazier.

Players should now pass through that entrance and follow the path to reach a room with yet another Elden Ring Site of Grace in it. This room is also home to a burning brazier, and there is a cracked wall just to its left. This is not a typical wall, though, and fans should hit it to reveal a path that leads directly into the Sealed Tunnel.

At this point, players should continue forward until they run into a wall and an enemy, turn to the left, and smash the barrels and cart that block their way. Elden Ring fans should then continue forward, and they will see a chest on their right after taking just a few steps. This chest contains the Smithing-Stone Miner's Bell Bearing [2], and it is worth noting that there another illusory wall behind the container that players may want to consider dispelling.

After obtaining the Bell Bearing, players should make their way to Elden Ring's Roundtable Hold and give the item to the Twin Maiden Husks. This is the same process that is used to make Smithing Stones 1 and 2 purchasable, and fans should see the higher-level stones in the vendor's inventory instantly after making the offering. If that is not the case, it is recommended that players use a Site of Grace to pass time and then speak with the Twin Maiden Husks again.

Elden Ring is available on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
