Screenshots of Elden Ring's upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree DLC have leaked online less than a month before its highly anticipated release. Now, fans were given another look into the locales awaiting them in the Land of Shadow through leaked screenshots posted to the Korean video game web magazine Ruliweb, which featured several pictures of a monitor showcasing the overworld of Elden Ring's only expansion. A majority of these images showcased the maps' regions, with areas ranging from vast plains to massive ruined structures overlooking high cliffs. There also appeared to be screenshots of a few of the new dungeons, particularly of a massive cave with stalagmites and cauldrons hanging all over the ceiling.

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Gives Off Major Bloodborne Vibes

While the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion promises more of what earned Elden Ring its title as 2022's Game of the Year, previous screenshots posted by developers hinted that a few of the new areas might also take inspiration from some of FromSoftware's previous games. Several images of the DLC particularly suggested that the dark, gothic architecture and grotesque creatures of Bloodborne heavily influenced some of Elden Ring's areas and enemies.
